Ok, yeah, sorry but I can't really do this anymore. Yes. Yes you are. This is coming from a fellow black person, Salem, you are far too racist towards the people who literally carry your likes and reblogs. Criticism towards white systematic oppression isn't bad, it's great really! But you always go about it in the worst, nastiest, most ignorant way I've ever seen. None of it is done with the intention to teach, it's all so you can desperately hold onto that status of being the "oppressed minority" so you can never face criticism ever. Cause "How can I be bad if white people bad?????"
Not even sure what made you think you're the authority to talk on black issues, how much do you actually interact with black culture? 90% of your self admitted favorite albums are by absolute snowmen or incredibly American black people. You constantly advocate for black art yet you never interact with it, no, black art isn't just "A drawing a black guy made". Black art isn't just fat furries that you claim are black cause you drew half-shit out turds for hair. You don't know what it really is cause you never interact with it, you've never seen the genuine soul of black art. And I thought I was out of touch with my homeland, there's so much culture and heart you're missing out on and yet you think you're the teacher on ethics in interacting with black folk. Fuck, Waka Waka is somehow more black than the shit you pump out.
Speaking of which, what is your homeland? You always just say "Black, black, black" can you tell us what you know about your actual ancestors and culture? Every "representation of culture" you show as this crazy amount of progression is just shit I see stoned high schoolers and Pinterest girlies do. Or do you know nothing cause being black isn't an actual culture and heritage to you, it's just a label to defend yourself from criticism of the fact that you associate with people who draw fictional child porn? What tribe does your family originate from? What languages did they speak? Oromo, Twi, do you even know what these words mean???
I'm not trying to be a dick or "mask off" or whatever, I'm saying that as a second generation black person I have never felt more commodified than I have when looking at your art, and it's VERY frustrating that you constantly act like white people are evil and you know all about oppression when you can't even draw a bonnet on your characters correctly.
sometimes I worry I'm too mean about white people. i don't hate y'all I get irritated more than anything. i get happy when y'all engage with my art on a normal and even thoughtful level.
but also I'm sorry if I'm too mean. I'm just a bitter black guy.
