would u rather fight a buff nerd or a jock who listens to jazz
things to remember:
nerd has a lot of pent-up anger, might pretend you are his dad
because of the jock’s exposure to jazz music, his attack patterns and movements are a lot less predictable

Since the Christian Hegemony and Cultural Christianity Disk Horse is going around again:
For the record, y’all, using the term “culturally Christian” is not a personal attack. No one is calling a specific person a Christian, no one is insinuating that someone who has left Christianity is still practicing the Christian faith. It’s a term used to define various peoples’ relationships to Christian hegemony and its accompanying axes of power.
That’s it. That’s all it’s about.
*I* have to unlearn facets of cultural Christianity. Even though I’m not, and have never been, a Christian. Even though I was actively raised in and remain member of an utterly non-Christian ethnoreligion. Even though I have been harmed by members of the Christian faith. I was raised in a Christian hegemonic society and so I’ve had to unlearn Christian norms and still have to pushback in my own mind against culturally Christian assumptions.
Which is deeply frustrating sometimes, I’m not gonna lie.
It’s not an attack to say that someone is culturally Christian or has internalized cultural Christianity/Christian hegemony. It’s not calling any particular person a member of the Christian religion. It’s not saying former Christians are somehow “tainted” by their prior (often involuntary) associations with organized Christianity.
It’s recognizing that in a society built based on Christian norms the average person is going to be influenced by said norms, and we can’t understand or deconstruct that situation or rectify the oppression it engenders or harms it causes if we don’t talk about it.
