AITA for wanting to meet God? I, (20s M) am fascinated by myths and ancient ruins. It was my way of coping with life's pains. Ever since I was young, whenever I met with something painful or heartbreaking...I couldn't help but wonder why life was so unfair. Why I was cursed to live through such things. Of course, I imagine we all go through something like that. I chose to satisfy my curiosity and ambition by unraveling the mysteries of how the world itself came to be. I eventually became convinced of the existence of our land's deity and sought to meet it. I called out to it's banished child to aid me, and the stranger that fell from the heavens gathered the items I needed. Soon, I would have been able to meet God, I needed to know what it is. I MUST know what it is. I could have used it's power recreate a new, better world! But my dream fell to ruin, all because of that person! It was as if they were thrown here just to get in my way. They bested me in battle, they had the true blessing, despite how the blood of the ancient people flowed through my veins, despite my worship and passion and interest in Its study, what was it that It found to lacking in me?! It seemed as if it's unwillingness to appear before me meant this world didn't need to be remade, but my questions still remained unanswered! It wanted to meet that person over me. To have your dreams vanquished by a nobody, for them to be given the right to meet the creator deity of our world...I had no desire to watch them reap the prize of my life's pursuit. I decided then that one day I would conquer It, no many how many years, decades, or centuries it takes me. I wish, therefore, I will. Now I must ask you, is it not unfair how this has befallen me? AITA?
