Since the Horizon for this AU is similar to a Time Rift, there’s a question that pops up of whether or not the whales could randomly come through. I’ve decided ‘why not’.

It’s confusing, concerning, and slightly intimidating to have a giant creature just swim into your space uninvited.

Stepping back into arting again by picking out a screenshot to redraw. I took a lot during Snatcher’s fight, but I love that, when he’s doing the double attack, you can move the camera around and see what’s going on behind the darkness.

Oh hey, I’m awake. Barely, but awake enough to do a write up for MJ #2 while I have some time. I don’t have any plans to work on this other AU, but some thoughts have gone into it.

The basic premise plays with the idea of Beta Subcon and it being a place created within Tim’s mind that only Tim’s Friend can normally access, as he’s the one who takes Hat Kid in or out of Subcon. And instead of meshing old game Subcon with current game Subcon to enable MJ to exist, instead both exist separately. One is the Subcon we see in game, that actually exists and the other is a version of Subcon that does only exist within Tim’s mind and with differences from reality due to the fact that Tim himself doesn’t know Subcon too well, and was investigating until he got frozen in Vanessa’s. 

Tim never personally met Snatcher, but did get into Vanessa’s manor, so the manor area is the most accurate to the real life version. So he saw some of the notes and the paintings that showed Vanessa and her Prince. The Moonjumper only exists in Tim’s imagined version of Subcon, and was created in the attempts to piece together exactly what happened to everyone involved. A theory for what happened to the Prince, without having all of the information.

All of the characters that exist within Tim’s mind only have ‘memories’ and personalities based on what Tim made for them... But when an outside element gets thrown into this internal world, it changes some things. Mostly with MJ, because the Horizon that he exists on is on the fringe between this Subcon and the rest of Tim’s mind. MJ becomes at least partially aware of just what the forest he watches is, and the fact that a real person like Hat Kid could get in and (presumably) out, there’s a chance he can use her to get himself out as well.

(And some mess of the boundary between reality and the imagined world breaking down when he does escape, hence glitchiness, but it’s affecting the world in a general sense. Actual Stockholm syndrome Hat Kid in thinking she and MJ are friends. Having repressed memories that he knows are fake but still can’t fully escape because they’re still a core part of what made him. Hat Kid got the Fox Mask from imaginary Vanessa’s attic, and it’s still with her in the real world, and she can see the getting-less-imaginary version of the world when she wears it. Not just Time that’s getting messed up now, but Space between now parallel worlds. Chaos.)

Snatcher, I don’t think it’s healthy to keep reading that one particular book. Granted, there are a lot of unhealthy things with regards to you and that event, but also petty theft isn’t a replacement for therapy.

Me, five days ago: Oh yeah, I have another MJ, kinda. Mostly just have a cool concept regarding his existence regarding the idea of Beta Subcon being Tim’s subconscious.
