This is a reminder for those who handmake Christmas presents that now is not too early to start. It may in fact be a good time to start if you have a lot to make/your craft takes a long time. You should maybe start it now, whether that's brainstorming or actually doing the crafts!

thinking about the time my local garden centre put signs up that said "propagation piracy is a crime" and explained that "propagation piracy" is when you pick up a leaf or a twig that's fallen on the floor and take it home and grow a plant from it. I came home and mocked this because it's obviously extremely pathetic and stupid, and my ex got salty and said they were right and I was just like. you literally call yourself a communist and you are defending the right of corporations to protect their hypothetical future profits by classifying it as a crime to pick up a leaf

There is also black nightshade, the berries are perfectly edible when fully ripe (they can cause some stomach troubles when unripe) they taste like sweet tomatoes and no one believes you that you can eat them bcs the Europeans are weird about nightshades

Did you know that Deadly Nightshade is not actually the plant named Nightshade? And that there's actually Bitter Nightshade too? And neither of them are actually Nightshade! Deadly Nightshade is, I believe, named Belladona. I can't remember what the real name of Bitter Nightshade is.
