Lol wow. What a joke.
What about the story line with Hank possibly being Erin's father? I feel like a lot of her story line got forgotten/left behind... I just really feel like this came out of left field...
Sophia answered about that, she said they cut the scene where they confirmed Hank was not her father. Another thing we missed out on I guess.

Lol true. I wouldn’t want to stay on this terrible show.
So the rumors were true after all. I couldn’t figure out a reason for repeating the “Erin leaving Intelligence” storyline if that wasn’t the case. I’m extremely disappointed and sad. I started watching this show for Sophia Bush, like so many of you, and I stayed because I just loved the way she portrayed Erin Lindsay. I appreciated that they show-cased a strong female character in an arena that is so often dominated by men.
Given that in all likelihood, the writers were aware of her impending departure for a while, I find this season to be that much more frustrating and cruel. Linstead fans get zero closure and they dangled a proposal storyline that will never go anywhere. At least Erin got her promotion in the end. I just wish we could have seen her grow further.
Let’s be honest. Chicago PD won’t last for much longer; the writing is terrible and the executive producers like Derek Haas are unprofessional. At least we’ll have the memories of the earlier seasons when the plotlines were entertaining and when we had actual character development. And humor! Remember humor? The writer’s room doesn’t.
I’m glad to be free of this show and I hope for the best for Sophia. She’s so talented and deserves better than this show.

They wanted to wait until the show was renewed imo.
I just don't understand why Sophia wouldn't have announced it at the end of the Paris con or something. And why hasn't she said anything now? Like wouldn't she want us to hear from her first?? She loves her fans so I don't understand. None of the articles even have a reason or a statement from her. It's all a bit weird to me. It sounds like it's true and I'm just so upset. I wish she'd acknowledge it just so we have some peace of mind you know? I love Sophia. I want to hear it from her 😭
I honestly can’t speak to this. It could have been leaked. But there’s a lot of politics in show business and they do things a little differently lol. Who knows she may have been instructed not to say anything officially. And it’s not the first time we’ve heard of an actor leaving a show/project through an article like this, won’t be the last. I’ve no beef with her. I am upset the show handled the story of her (and linstead’s) exit so poorly.

Exactly, it’s so ridiculous.
Obviously, Derek is a troll and it’s likely that this Jay-Will-Nat storyline will amount to nothing. The fact that they’re even teasing it is gross. It’s not just that Linstead’s relationship is unresolved. It’s that Jay knows how Will feels about Natalie. I refuse to believe Jay would betray his brother like that.

When you watch an episode of Chicago Med with Papa Halstead and you realize the writers’ rooms for Med and PD clearly don’t communicate at all.....
Why bother with the “Chicago” franchise if continuity doesn’t matter?

The writing and editing on this show is just so bad. The timelines don’t make sense either. So Jay’s been going to therapy once a week which implies it‘s been a while since Linstead split? Maybe that’s why they cut the scene which of course made things even more confusing.
I actually don’t mind angst. I enjoy the build-up back towards reconciliation and I understand that storylines of this nature are sometimes necessary. But this poorly-written BS is incredibly annoying.

Lol this show is hyping Linstead angst and then cutting scenes with the actual angst. I don’t know why I expect anything else sigh. They need new writers.
I love Voight. He really is a sweetheart who loves Erin so much. I just wish they could have had more scenes tonight.

I’m guessing that Erin is probably going to be upset that she’s opened up to Jay so much when he’s still hiding things. It’s interesting that the tables have now turned in this relationship. At least they’re not going for the lazy, jealousy angle.

I think most of us expected conflict and even a possible Linstead break-up this season. As much as I hate it, these writers have never been inclined to give anyone happiness for long. I just wish we had actually gotten to see the development in their relationship that we were promised, instead of randomly sparsed scenes. If they actually break up over an ex though, that will be the biggest bunch of bullshit this show has ever written. It’s like they don’t know their own characters.

That scene with Antonio was so precious. Forehead kisses always get me. And the unit still doesn’t feel right without him. I hope he comes back eventually. Sidenote: why does everyone kiss Erin’s forehead or the side of her head except for Jay? Fix it writers.
Sophia Bush is just so talented. That scene in the interrogation room was everything. I love the confidence with which she plays this role.
I’m so happy for Burzek fans and I’m glad Adam is back. The bullpen desperately needs his levity. This show needs more comedy and less drama/sadness.
Also, can I just say that I love Platt more and more with every episode? This season has done a great job highlighting her incredible heart.
