This is true, I witness similar occurrences almost daily!

Its been a long day for Chase, Eli, Alex, and AJ after they went to one of Alex's football games. Sometimes Alex goes and celebrates a win with his teamates after a game, but most of the time he perfers hanging out with his closer friends.

AJ, (arguably the most responsible of everyone in the group), drove them all to get dinner where they're now sotting around eating and talking. Its a bit cold, but none of them mind when they all get to hang out.
