i always think about ghoap being unaware that they have feelings for each other not because they’re emotionally dense but because they have that classic weirdly homiesexual relationships that guys have.

because, listen, i know a ton of dudes. i’m friends with a ton of dudes. I have heard so many straight men refer to their long time friends or their best friends as their boyfriends. the things they say each other would traumatize god for life.

so, anyway, I think of Soap who’s this dude bro, right? He’s comfortable in his sexuality, but he’s also just… a guy. Rarely does he ever realize another person is flirting with him because he’s just a social butterfly who wouldn’t know flirting if it was a concrete brick. He’s just a dude and rarely does he ever think ‘Romance!’ he’s just like ‘friendship!’ (and often forgets that’s an option, that it’s something he can have…)

and ghost just has crude dark, sexual, teenage boy and dad joke humor. So, of course, within two years of him and soap being friends he starts up with the sex jokes, and the sexual harassment that comes with their specific brand of friendship. And it isn’t that much longer before you hear either of them be like “Why are you talking to my boyfriend?” or “yeah hes chill he’s my bf” or “omg i miss my boyfriend” because it’s a joke, and it’s funny, and it’s not like they haven’t made the same jokes with other people in the task force.

when they do eventually realize they have feelings for each other, though, the boyfriend label is specifically shelved for them two and nobody else.

and, unfortunately, nobody believes them when they say they’re actually in a relationship. They’ve done too much gay shit in public as a joke to make people believe them now. It’s all ‘ha-ha’ with the other dudes. Even when they hold hands. Even when they share food. Even when they openly talk about their relationship in front of people.

nobody thinks they’re actually dating until they catch them being incredibly soft with each other.

anyway, this is because my best friends call each other boyfriend (both of them has a girlfriend, they’re very straight) because… dudes like to be gay to each other for some inexplicable reason

A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?

Definitely a hard tie between Silence is Golden and Of Earthly Things, but lately Of Earthly Things is consuming my existence so probably that one. Silence will always have a special place in my heart but I think I'm having the most fun and am the most passionate about Of Earthly Things

N: Any fic ideas brewing that you’d care to share?

Riley family never died AU (I can give more details later if anyone wants)

G: If you wrote a sequel to [insert fic], what would it be about?

If I wrote a sequel it'd have to be for To Love, To Let Go cause from what I plan for the actual fic is just like a certain period of months where Bailey learns to adjust with her new life and Price with his. It'll end somewhere around the time she actually gets truly comfortable. The sequel would just be further growing pains of their new family and some shenanigans with the boys and whatnot

S: How do you feel about fan art inspired by your writing?

It might just be the relationship I have with my siblings and the fact the only people close to my age that my siblings are introducing me to are my twin's friends but I see all of them as bonus brothers, so?
