small pet peeve about cc but it annoys me greatly:

if you say your hair has "24 EA colors", i expect the color swatch hex codes to be EXACTLY THE SAME as the ea colors. yes, i know they're ugly, but it serves a purpose - it's standardized.

i like being able flip through different hairs without the game going ??? and reverting the sim's hair color to black.

please. listen to me. maxis match hairs listed with "24 EA COLORS" should not do this.

simblr trading card template - by @buttertrait and I <3

butter and I were like what if we made trading cards for our sims and then we worked together to make this template so we can all pretend we're exchanging cards in the playground.

font we used: bad comic - but will work with mostly any font

change the skill bars with the move tool on the layers named "CHARISMA SKILL" "BODY SKILL" "LOGIC SKILL". just move them left and right!

Layers are colour coded - green you edit, red you dont!

Made with photoshop 2021 but should work on any photoshop/ program that can open .psd files

dont forget to add ur username at the bottom so we know where we got the card from :O!

Pastell Legacy #6

A young man stands in his vampire uncle's house. It just so happens that while we were being distracted by vampire shenanigans, this man somehow had a child. Alone. Thing is, his husband is still very dead. How did- how is this possible?

KRÅKE: Hi!! Sorry for just kind of walking in uninvited... oh huh.

KRÅKE: Well, you seem oddly human. MARIA-ELISE: I sure am. Just moved in the other day - my child lives here. KRÅKE: I was looking for the local vampires? MARIA: Ah. I don't think they're awake right now... KRÅKE: Oh.

MORTEN: Who said I wasn't awake? MARIA: Just an assumption, dear. It's barely 5 PM. MARIA: Also, can we please heat up the house while you're all asleep? It's so chilly in here. Winter is approaching.

MORTEN: I mean... personally, yeah, I'd absolutely let you, but this kinda feels like something we should bring up with the rest first? MORTEN: Some of us are absolutely terrified of unattended fires and all that. MARIA: I'll watch over it! KRÅKE: True, it's pretty cold in here! You'd think this place was inhabited only by the undead or something.

MORTEN: ...

BABY: bweh, MORTEN: wait is that a baby- KRÅKE: Anyway, yes - the reason I came here was because I was looking for babysitters. MORTEN: Who's this baby? KRÅKE: He's mine.

KRÅKE: So... long story short, basically it turns out I got pregnant from Rolf, my fiancé, before he died... and now all I have left from him is this child. MORTEN: Oh, congrats! Sorry about your loss... MARIA: Pregnant? You? But you're -? KRÅKE: A trans man, actually. Still had that uterus. Anyway,

KRÅKE: This here is Rolf Junior. My one and only child. Heir to the legacy. MORTEN: D'aw, he's adorable... wait, legacy?? KRÅKE: Of course. Anyway, I would really love him to meet his other father someday, but to do that, I will have to get better at magic. Master my necromancy... KRÅKE: And to do that, I will have to let someone else raise my child in the meantime. And that is where you guys come in! MORTEN: You can't be serious. KRÅKE: I am dead serious. MORTEN: No way. MORTEN: I mean, we're kind of undead monsters and shit. One lapse in control, one too many blood meals missed, and-

MORTEN: RRAar. Your baby. Gone. Forever. You don't want that. Me neither! MARIA: Morten dear, didn't you guys raise an alien child to adulthood at some point? That clearly went fine!

MORTEN: Well yes, but consider this: Bat thinks alien blood is absolutely nasty. Human blood, however... MARIA: Ah. MORTEN: Also, what if someone like Vladislaus showed up? He definitely seems like the baby eater type. MARIA: Vladislaus? MORTEN: Vlad Straud the fourth. Awful old cranky Dracula type of guy. Terrible man! I heard he literally keeps human prisoners in his basement for their blood, but those might just be rumors. Very believable rumors, that is.

MORTEN: And... he knows where we live. So if he knew we were hiding a human baby here, he'd show up in no time. Maybe even control some of his mortal familiars to abduct the child. Baby blood is literally a delicacy to him! MORTEN: And then we'd never see Rolf Jr. again. If you leave him here, better say good-bye to that little bundle of joy... You know other vampires would be all over this baby like - KRÅKE: Alright, fine, I get your point... MARIA: (should I be worried?) -----

Downstairs, there's another visitor...

KRÅKE: Mom? What are you doing here? FRØYA: Son, you've been mumbling about letting the vampires take your baby all week. Of course I'd drop in at Rune's place and check if you seriously went here with your infant. RUNE: Oh hey, is that a new kid in the family? FRØYA: Yes!! This is my new grandchild... It's little baby Rolf, say hi! KRÅKE: Mom please-

RUNE: A baby!!! Little baby Rolf! My littlest grand-nephew! Oh my gosh, congrats! FRØYA: Yes!! Isn't he adorable? RUNE: Yes!!!! KRÅKE: *sighs* nevermind

RUNE: The most adorable, truly. I don't think I've ever seen a baby this small before. Look at his little smile! FRØYA: Yes... and despite what your nephew is saying, I will help take care of this little one for as long as I'm around. Not gonna leave him with you vampires, don't worry! RUNE: Ah right... yeah... you're mortal.

RUNE: Please know that I am going to miss you a lot, my dearest baby sibling. FRØYA: I'm not THAT old yet. RUNE: You will be. FRØYA: That sounds like a threat. RUNE: Sorry. Not the intention.

RUNE: Just... don't mind me... I'm just thinking about the horrifying passage of time. RUNE: I'll show myself out. Take care. FRØYA: Yeah. Let's go home, shall we? KRÅKE: ... fine.

old immortal sims who are never technically becoming elders should be allowed to have the wise trait too i think

there are several occults that are able to achieve immortality (spellcasters, werewolves), or heck, are immortal by default (vampires) and i just think it would make sense. they get old too.

i really want a mod to exist for this. even if all it does is literally just unlock the ability to cheat it onto the sims we want, i'm fine with it not being a gameplay thing.

mini-tutorial: fixing pants/stockings texture overlapping

maybe you've had this happening as well. it's rare, but can be very annoying if it happens with pants that you really love but can't use with socks and stockings.

it's a very quick and easy fix. here's a simple explanation how to do it.

open pants in question in sims 4 studio

repeat exactly the same process as when you fixed pants/shirt overlapping

the only difference is sort layer numbers you'll be typing in this time. if it's anything other than 14000 (bugged bottoms most often will have 10400), make it 14000 for each CAS part.

that's it. we've fixed it :)

quick infodump in case someone's curious as to why that happens: creators often use panties as a base, because panties base is comfortable to work with. but panties have texture layer priority lower than stockings, so they go under stockings. and if a creator makes pants or skirt on that base and forgets to change the sort layer to match actual pants, they still go under stockings :)

for sorting your cc in cas!

i've been mentioning sorting cc a lot lately, and one thing i mentioned is that i started it all mainly because i hated how maxis items are always scattered among cc - it doesn't look good, and i keep forgetting some things exist

so one of the most important points for me was to figure out the biggest display index number maxis uses, and give all cc numbers bigger than that, so all maxis items would go first. for people who want to do the same but don't know how to figure out numbers, i'll post my numbers list to use.

i also recommend skipping display numbers between your folders (e.g. 300, 305, 310 or 300, 310, 320 etc instead of 300, 301, 302), so that in case you look in cas and don’t like where you put a batch of cc and want to move them later, you have a wiggle room and don’t have to reassign everything else.

warning: this list is just for human adults. i didn't check infants, toddlers, children and werewolves because i don't use cc for them.

HELENA HAIR (+ flower crown)

Finally got around to posting this...

Originally I released this one as a part of a set of unfinished hairs, but recently I sat down and updated it a bit!

Some notes:

Hair and flower crown is now separated! Enjoy!

Flower crown is found in Hats.

Said flower crown has all the swatches of the original EA flower crowns - all the ones from the original vampire hair. This means a lot of the swatches will have very similar colors. There's a lot of red/blacks in there. This admittedly inflates the number a bit, but it's nice to have options for more precise color matching, right?

Instant LODs script for CC Makers!

Making CC LODs is super tedious, especially if you have a lot of cut numbers, so this is a script I wrote for Blender to help with making them! It's basically like a photoshop action, it just takes the meshes you have selected and runs through the commands as many times as you need.

To use it, just open up the text editor window in blender, navigate to where you've saved the script on your computer and open (or copy the text from the dropbox and paste it into the editor), then follow the instructions in the script. It's super simple to use and it's saved me a ton of time (especially while I was making simblreen gifts lol!) Send me a dm if you have any trouble or questions!
