Even if views DID do something, if 100 people read a story but only 1 left a comment and 10 left kudos/likes, I would assume "wow everyone hated that." Even just saying "I loved this" or "I like how you wrote (character)" will make an author feel like real people are actually enjoying their work.

a feel like the new generation of fanfic readers NEED to understand that clicking on a fic (interaction) does nothing. ao3 has no algorithm. your private discord discussions of fic do not reach the authors. if you do not actively engage with writers they will stop posting. this isn’t social media this is community.

In the same way that the writer is transforming the original story and characters, YOU can also transform the FANFICTION in your head as you're reading.

Dumb example: The reader insert character orders mint ice cream but you don't like that.

INCORRECT RESPONSE: Going into the comments and telling the author how disrespectful they're being for assuming your ice cream preferences, telling them they need to make it more relatable to you specifically or stop writing altogether.

CORRECT RESPONSE: Thinking to yourself "no Blorbo and I ordered cake actually :) " and reading on. No comment to the author needed.

AND THIS CAN WORK FOR ANYTHING. There was a choking scene but you're not into that? Skip those paragraphs, that didn't happen. The main character cried when someone was mean to them? Actually you told the bitch off instead, moving on. Y/N put their hair back in a messy bun but you're bald? JK you rubbed sunblock on your head and headed out. Just edit the story in your mind as you go.

the sooner people understand x reader as a literary device and not a blank slate for you get mad at for not actually being a blank slate, the more fun we’ll all have. the reader-insert will never be a perfect empty canvas. even without character and world motivation it’s just the sheer fact that these things are written by imperfect humans—some of them do it better than others but all of them will leave their dirty filthy thumbprints on ur precious mirror of a entryway, that’s literally just how creation works. it will never perfectly include everyone, it’s not meant to, they work exactly the same as other characters—the degree to which you relate to them will depend on the story, what they do, and who’s writing it (and you who’s reading it, of course).

And showing a penis usually only happens in a comedy context, or briefly and in shadow in a romance, and having an erection *at all* makes it automatically an X rating even if no one's touching it.

I just think its weird we live in a world where graphic murder depicted on television/internet is fine and shows glorifying serial killers is okay but showing a tiddie or a vagina is as bad as telling Jesus to fuck himself

First thought: Pickles Elphaba, Seth Nessarose for the angle of sibling who's really talented but parents will never accept vs golden child who doesn't have much going on.

Second thought: Charles Elphaba, Melmord Galinda for the angle of someone who's talented and doing the right thing but hated for it vs someone who's a screwup but popular.

Third thought: Nathan Elphaba, Pickles Galinda based specifically on how Nathan was willing to destroy the album in season 4 to maintain Dethklok's integrity vs how Pickles wanted to release a subpar album to maintain the status quo.

Fourth thought: Toki Elphaba solely so he can get disillusioned and turn against a Wizard Rockso.

Here it is, over a decades' worth of Metalocalypse BTS archiving separated into ~120 different folders.

I tried to be as thorough as possible with the filing, however, if you're having trouble with navigating/ finding a character (even if they're a BG character), just shoot me a message here or on my main @cloudchaser2000 and I'll show the location.

This is for archival purposes; uploaded to this site to have a sense of organization not possible on most other sites.

If any request from the shows’ staff to have anything taken down is received and/or there is any copyright infringement – please let me know & it’ll be actioned immediately.

Additionally, let me know if I got any art credits incorrect.

TIP: Items that are sorted per character may have some additional characters with them. So, e.g. if you’re looking for Edgar Jomfru references, then check characters folders that he’s had scenes with, like Crozier.
