A sickie with a sexy, snotty headcold. They're so delirious from fever they think sharing their cold with you will cure them... They just need to get close enough to you and relieve their stuffy nose... "snfff!"

I should warn you - I sneeze my head off with a cold, they'd said, the first time.

Oh, how bad can it be?

They weren't wrong. But for someone so cognisant of their body's over reaction to the most common of ailments, they're still overwhelmed by every cold they catch.

"EHSCHH'uuu! eh'heh-heh'EHSHHhh'uu!"

The handkerchief pressed to their nose is long past being useful. There's a stack of fresh ones, newly laundered and pressed, at their elbow, but perhaps they're too preoccupied with sneezing to have remembered this. Or perhaps this cold hasn't given them a moment to reach over for a replacement, unfold it and ready themselves before the next sneeze hits. It does seem to be an extraordinarily sneezy one, even by their standards.

"hehh'CHHHuuu!"

"Bless you."

It's nothing to shake the handkerchief out of its crisp folds, reach for their free hand and swoop it over their fingers, which quiver slightly, their whole body caught in the trembling breaths that builds up to another, "ehh-hehh-hehh'TSHhhhuuu!"

And now there's a beat to gently lower the hand that's cupped desperately to their nose, shushing their whine of panic at its removal - not having a handkerchief ready is too awful for them to imagine, but they needn't worry. Their other hand is guided upwards to take its place, and when they open their eyes just enough to see this, the relief washes over their face.

"Thha'aa'ahh-nk you..." They just about gasp out the phrase, turning their head towards the white drape of cloth, before crashing forward into it with a shuddering, "ehh'RRHUShhh'UH!"

"Bless you."

The sneeze is followed by a soft moan, as their nose finds the handkerchief's safe haven. If they notice the blessing, or the other handkerchief being teased away from them, they don't give any sign. It's all they can do to tilt their head back a little, eyes squeezed shut and lips parting, to gather enough air for the next salvo.

"ehh'USHHhhh'UU!....heh'hehehh-heh'Rhh'SHOOoo!"

Poor thing. However did they cope on their own?

i need everyone to know. my favorite sneeze trope in all the world. is someone begging someone else to help them contain their sneeze. whether it's "quick, hold my nose, i can't hold it back" or "oh no, cover my mouth!" or "please...hHhh...put your finger under my nose or i'll sneeze all over you, hurry, it's almost here..."
