Happy Trans Day of Visibility! Here’s a quick and messy drawing of some of my many headcanons for trans characters in the sonic franchise. I originally wanted to draw many more but I kept putting the drawing off until a couple days ago and realized I wouldn’t get it out on time so I chose to go with just Sonic and Tails!

I headcanon these two as trans males, and I imagine Sonic came out first and when Tails came out, Sonic was very supportive of his lil bro :)

Anyways, I hope everyone has a safe and happy day today :)

I’ve seen a lot people posting their Sonic plushies on my timeline, and it reminded me of how I got mine.

On our one-year anniversary, my boyfriend took me out to a nice Italian restaurant (nothing too fancy, we were in college lmao). We dressed up a little for it, got some good pasta, and then walked around the mall next door for a bit. It was a nice night.

We were on our way back when he turns to me and says we have one more stop. We pull up to our local Walmart; I’m a little confused but I go with it. He leads me inside and we turn to the claw machine where there’s a ridiculous number of various Sonic plushies. For reference, every time we shopped there, I would point them out to him and laugh—I didn’t think he really thought much of it. He looks me in the eye, pulls out a wad of one dollar bills from his dress pants, and says, “I’m gonna win you one of those Sonic plushies.”

Five years later, we’re married and this little guy sits on my desk in our apartment :)
