Finished product. My 6-year-old helped with the juicing and told me: "Share on Facebook, Daddy, so people know we're being healthy. We have to be healthy for our island."

Back to class...
I鈥檝e been completely silent since returning from my on-campus DSW residency in St. Paul, Minnesota. I鈥檓 happy to report I did well in my first class (A) on History of Social Work and my paper on the history of social work education in Micronesia was well-received. Now it鈥檚 time to flesh it out, editeditedit, and get it out there in the world.聽
We鈥檙e several weeks into our next course (History of Social Work Education), and it has been a challenge to balance everything going on. I am fortunate to have great students this semester who make classes a job. Work is another issue, but that鈥檚 another rant for another time.聽
We鈥檙e in our unique election cycle here on Guam. We don鈥檛 have the right to vote for president, so on non-gubernatorial election years (like 2016), the focus is on Senatorial races. Politics is one of Guam鈥檚 local sports and is, for me, fascinating. Our local NASW chapter is finally getting more involved in the political process this year, which I hope is the start of something consistent and ongoing.聽
That鈥檚 it for now. My son鈥檛 first futbol (soccer) game of the season is this morning. Then back to reading, studying, research, and so on...
