A Few Steps Away from Death!

Today, I walked through Al-Baraka Street in Deir al-Balah, and just as I took my first steps at the intersection, the roar of an airstrike shook the ground. Fighter jets targeted a group of young men right before my eyes. Between me and death were only a few steps—steps that separated me from becoming a torn body like theirs.

The scene of scattered limbs was not an exception, but has become a repeated image in my country—a sight of death chasing us at every moment of this brutal war.
