How do I know Byler will be Endgame? Simple, in absolutely every series I've seen my gay radar has been turned on by certain characters and it has NEVER failed, and believe me, Mike Wheeler is not even close to the top 10 most difficult to prove he's gay.

I find it super interesting that in the wider GA community, Steve is almost universally loved. He's everyone's favourite character, or at least somewhere near the top of the list. Then there's the Byler fandom... And most people don't HATE him, but he's definitely a lot less popular. I've seen a lot of people complain about how the attention Steve gets in the GA is unfair and undeserved.

Why do you guys think this split exists? Does Steve just appeal to a different demographic than Byler? Idk, I'm interested in what people think/their reasons for liking or disliking Steve.

I knew I was mentally screwed when I wanted to talk to Mike or Will about my problems and I remembered they were fictional people, writing so much about them made me get too deep into their world. HAHA. 💔

Oh no, it's not about whether Byler is Endgame or not, it's about whether it makes sense.

And you can't imagine how pleased I am that you don't have a coherent answer to our "what if Will were a girl?"

One thing that stresses me out about people is that they expect Mike to act like a stereotypical gay man.

Just so you understand, I vividly remember how they treated us like crazy when we said Will was gay. The amount of things they said to me on my TikTok... They didn't traumatize me obviously, but 13-year-old me didn't love receiving hate every day either.

And when it came out- what was it? The teaser? Well, the point, this clip of Will walking, I think, in school, coming out of a door, they automatically started with their nonsense about him being gay because he WALKED super gay.

Do you understand how stupid this is???????

But Mike looking at Will's lips, oh no, not that, super straight, maybe if they saw him letting Robin paint his nails, then they would say he was ******. 🤐

Thoughts from people in the fandom that make me automatically ignore their opinion about byler.

-They hate Will.

- They think that the character with the most development is Steve.

- They prefer Stancy.

- Robin's sexuality is invalidated.

- They NEED that Eleven ends the series alongside a loving couple.

- They hate Mike... And that's it... Just because, justifying their hatred with how he behaved in the third season....

I honestly doubt it. For the reason that in theory, Eleven gave it to him. ( I emphasize IN THEORY, because nobody knows a damn thing about what goes on in Mike's head. ) I also start to think... I put myself in his place... And you see that painting every day and have an existential crisis...

Although yes, maybe I make my life complicated, and it's just as easy as Mike loving Will's art and hanging it on the walls no matter what.

There is a character in a Colombian series who reminds me a lot of Mike Wheeler because of the internalized homophobia. The third season of the series came out today, and this guy wants to get into a relationship with a girl he claims to "love," and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the guy is going to give her flowers.

Literally the same flowers Mike gives to Eleven. HAHAHAHAHAH.

I had to pause the series for a moment to process it.
