Sustainability

Something I mention briefly in some of my posts is how the material of certain toys are more eco friendly, protecting the environment is something that is very important to me so I want to go more in depth in this post.

Hemp: Hemp can be used for making so many things but when it comes to kink a big one is rope, hemp is carbon negative meaning in the process of taking it from seed to plant to product it removes more carbon from the air than what is added unlike cotton which can have a heavy carbon footprint. Hemp also comes with its perks, its softer than cotton but far more durable meaning depending on the make of the rope it can be used for suspension. Hemp can also be used in making fabric, its breathability (more than cotton) making it a great material for lingerie.

Wood: Wood can be used in making paddles without plastic as most paddles you buy in a sex shop are made of faux leather aka plastic. Wood can also be used for making dildos and butt plugs (don't worry their heavily sanded and have a coating). When buying wood toys its important to buy from a trustworthy seller who doesn't cut corners in the process, this is when you wanna spend the money to get a quality toy.

Bamboo: Sort of a sub category of wood it can be used for making paddles bamboo is fast growing making it more sustainable than wood as it can be quickly replaced. Rechargeable/plug in: While not technically being a specific material it still deserves a category of its own. Recharging your toy instead of throwing away batteries eliminates so much waste and will likely safe you money in the long run. Some toys plug directly into the wall which some people perfer as it removes the risk of running out of charge when your getting close.

Some other ways to reduce the carbon footprint your pleasure has, is to buy from company's that support sustainability. Pay attention to how your item is shipped and purchase things with less packaging. Everyones ability to practice sustainability is different but if everyone does what they can we can protect our planet.

A day collar is the most subtle of collars it is meant to be worn out on daily activities and will only be spotted by people "in the know". A day collar is a neclace that sometimes has a subtle lock only the dom can open or a small O-ring. A day collar is a way that the sub can feel owned in day to day life without involving non-consenting parties.

House collar

A house collar is more noticeable than a day collar but less than a scene collar it is meant to be worn around the house, like the scene collar its often made of leather.
