Kaishinbigbang 2024 Theme Announcement is here!

Hey everyone! The time to get your votes in has come and gone! It’s time to announce the results!

The theme is: AU or UA!

Out of 125 responses, 17.6% of you voted for AU/UA and 36% of you voted for an open AU/UA theme. 

For those of you who might not know what AU or UA are or the difference between them:

AU stands for alternate universe. These fanworks which change at least one element of the source’s canon according to Fanlore. Think coffee shop, soulmate, bodyguard, etc etc.

UA stands for universe alteration. Most people liken this to canon divergence! Think things like fix-its, characters being aged up or down, different first meetings, etc etc.

As always, the theme is optional, so you can choose to run with it or totally discard it! Whatever you decide, it’ll definitely be interesting!

Next up? Artist sign-ups open APRIL 18! More information will follow soon, so please keep your eyes peeled!

I Will Return Home AO3 Fic Link !!

My piece for @airu27 for the @dcmkkaishinevents! I've wanted to participate in a Kaishin event for years now as they have been one of my comfort ships since high school and I'm so happy to have finally gotten the courage for it! I used your prompt of 'teaming up' and 'giving shawl because of the cold'. I really hope you like it!

In the Dark Knight episodes it said there was a rumor that if you survive the night with Nightmare you would gain fortune. Kaitou KID not only survived the night but Nightmare never reappeared.

Maybe that spurred a different set of rumors. That Nightmare was a demon or something and KID had gained his approval. Or maybe since Chat Noir never reappeared after confronting KID either rumors started that KID would kill off the competition and steal their luck.

Maybe KID becomes seen as some sort of fortune dealer. After all some people end up better off after meeting him. Some of the more superstitious criminals try to make a deals with him for good luck.

I just like the idea of Kaitou KID being seen as something not exactly human. I think KID would take full advantage of that.

After over a year of procrastinating and getting distracted with life, my sister and I have finally finished our passion project of making our favorite fanfic into a book! It's over 500 pages of mystery, murder, and romance and I'm so happy to have it in my hands.

My saddest dcmk memory is finding out the runner gatcha mobile game got disconnected when I wanted to download it again... My matching Kaito and Shinichi cards on the home screen... Gone
