i think villains in general provide better, more epic romances because they're allowed to go to extremes. they're allowed to put their love over the greater good. they're allowed to be selfish. the best a hero can offer you is number two, because their duty comes first. villains, though. villains will burn down the world for a last kiss goodbye.

imagine your f/o’s eyes never leaving your face when you talk to them. you’re rambling about something passionately, moving your hands around and getting really absorbed in what you’re talking about. your eyes are darting around as you continue, almost forgetting that you’re still talking out loud. you keep going until your eyes lock onto your f/o’s eyes.

you realize that their attention never wavered and they haven’t stopped looking at you the whole time you were speaking. you feel your cheeks heat up at their intense gaze and your rambling starts to fade as you just stare at them and they stare back at you.

they furrow their brows slightly and ask, “what’s wrong?”

you just stare at them stunned and breathe out, “nothing, just thanks for listening to me.”

they give you a reassuring smile and say, “of course, i always will.”
