alrighty canon-divergent stuff time!! Anyways, here’s a few notes about the blog going forward. 

• She does get uh. Blown up. But unlike canon much of the impact is specifically in her legs and arm, where her quirks manifest strongly ( a.k.a her rifle arm and her feet since thats where the air quirk manifests ). So she will be injured but not to the point of being like. comatose. Mostly in that she’ll be wearing a lot of supports for a bit. 

• I do lean towards canon when I write, so the main canon verse of this blog she won’t know Keigo personally from before when she was in the commission still. But any Keigo’s that want to write? We can def do some canon divergent magic for interactions and stuff. This mostly applies to when being asked things by other muses and stuff.

          It HAD been quiet. 

     The air was near frigid from the storm that had rolled in to the area, a light thundering sound echoing through the abandoned building. This area had been evacuated early on and the building Lady had took them too was clear of any civilian or hero activity. It was the perfect spot to hide out in until the storm passed, the duo still too far from their target to risk any form of hinderance. 

Resting on one of the wooden boxes in the room, the sniper had been staring out the window until that sudden squeaking interrupted her thoughts. To her credit she didn’t jump, but her eyes darted to the side quickly to locate the source. 

     “ What are you- ”

She cuts herself off when he slowly starts to sink down to the ground, letting out an inconvenienced sigh before rising. Crossing the room, she kneels down again before reaching to gently pull him up again. This time she simply helps him sit down on the ground rather than giving him a box to sit on, not wanting him to hurt himself or unintentionally expose their position. 

     “ gee I wish you’d try to stay a little consistent with how much of your mind is intact ” Though she grumbles, there isn’t any real malice in her words. Instead of returning to her distant box once more, she sits on the ground next to him this time.

          The slightest huff slips out of her, partially drowned out by the downpour behind. She’s drenched from head to toe, caught in an unexpected storm that was sure to last for a good few hours at this rate. Thankfully the mission she had been on was finished with little more required on her part, so this little detour wasn’t too annoying. 

That she happened to be in the area of another commission-trained hero was pure luck though. 

     “ yeah yeah it’s like you think I was raised in a barn ” Well, close enough to it, but even Lady Nagant had some semblance of manners. Kneeling down slightly, she unties her shoes carefully before slipping them off. Setting them down neatly on the tiled entrance, she rises up slowly before resting one hand on her hip and glancing around. 

     “ I’ll be outta your hair once this storm dies down a little. Think I could get a cup of tea too? ”

             HEARING HER perspective sounded redundant. It’s similar to the ‘complaints’ and monologuing that most villains do when they’re going off on a hero about society. Taishiro is aware of how grey it can be, that nothing is black or white, but he wouldn’t dismantle it completely. At least, some structure is better than none. He watches as she jumps into the air, his eyes widen in confusion from it and he steps back as though she were to fall right back down.

“What’s that supposed t’mean? Ya want me t’be complacent with what villains wanna do t’society instead? If ya aren’t keen on the society we got now, then what are ya lookin’ for? A world like that and we’ll be tearin’ ourselves apart. An eye for an eye and the world goes blind— so what do you want? Or do ya really believe not havin’ a system of any kind is gonna be better than what we got already?”

          When he does ACTUALLY ask questions it makes her laugh, but there’s a subtle lack of attitude this time. In fact she seems less bored with the conversation and looks at Taishiro with just a little more curiosity than before. She stands on the air comfortable, not moving in a way that would suggest floating. But instead of walking away like originally planned, she speaks again. 

      “ I said ask questions. Complacency for either will never make this world better. Don’t just accept things as is. Have you ever really wondered what the real cost for that nice paycheck from the commission really is? Most heroes don’t. How could i ever trust a system run by people who wouldn’t think twice to really look in to it? At least the villains are honest.  “

     “ Why? A little weather enough to ruffle your feathers? ”

          His whining reminds her of a certain someone who would never shut up when it came to rain. Bright red wings would lower and rise in annoyance, and the boy would constantly gripe until finally someone told him to shut the hell up. Somehow though, that boy would always find a smile even after a scolding...

     “ It’s supposed to rain the rest of the week. Those wings get heavy with rain don’t they? ” She doesn’t really know, but she can make an assumption from experience. Even her bullets were mildly inconvenienced, though she still found ways adjust the shape and figure it out.

     She hears the SQUEAKING sound before noticing what the girl is actually doing, face scrunching up slightly. At first when it continues she doesn’t really say anything, but eventually looks up from the book she’s reading to stare at the girl whose training she’s overseeing. Today they’re on a trip to a training facility a little farther than normal, traveling using a seemingly normal bus. The rain was a little unexpected but not devastating to their plans luckily

The serious expression on the woman’s face almost implies she’s about to scold her...

... but she simply grins. 

     “ I used to do that all the time whenever I was still at home bored out of my mind. The training place isn’t too much farther ” Silence settles in again as she slips back in to reading, biting her lip for a moment before speaking up again. 

     “ What’re you drawing? ”

     “ What’s stopping you? Afraid of getting you clothes wet or something? ”

          Which was of course a somewhat valid concern if her clothes weren’t waterproof. Lady Nagant had prepared for anything of course so the water hardly bothered her, but she chose to stay inside anyways. Today just happened to be a little extra cold and she wasn’t too fond of it, choosing instead to start getting a cup of coffee going. 

     “ Come on you’re gonna end up getting sick or something with how god damn cold it is.  I can make hot chocolate if coffee ain’t your style ”

     I don’t think she even asked what he was in there for. I think she just? When he started mentioning his boss and said he’s all he has left...she probably saw a bit of herself in him sort of. From when she was broken and felt like she had nothing too. She didn’t even think to ask!! He was never not a person in her eyes, never not someone deserving of help even though he was also beneficial to her. I think if she hadn’t taken him she would have still gone back to help him find his boss.

          Peering out from under the temporary shelter they had ducked in to she sighs. She was sure it wasn’t supposed to rain today, and yet the weather had decided otherwise. It wasn’t too difficult to fire ( for her at least ) but she did have other concerns at the moment beyond herself...

     “ I know. Sorry but we’re gonna have to wait on your boss a little longer. My clothes are waterproof but not sure about yours... ” 

          A tool to use she had claimed prior, but even with her goal in front of her she still can’t extinguish that caring heart. She could make him get up anyways, but instead she simply sits down on the ground with another sigh. Staring at the man she hardly knew across from her, she closes her eyes and wills the frustration on her face to dissipate for the time being.
