소확행 (so-hwak-haeng) is an abbreviation of the phrase "소소하지만 확실한 행복" which means "small but certain happiness."

I first encountered this word when SEVENTEEN talked about it on their show SVT Club. It's a word that spoke a lot to me because I believed in finding happiness in the smallest things around me way before I found out that there is a word for it.

In Tagalog, it's often called "ang babaw ng kaligayahan" which usually has a negative implication. But the way it is put in Korean gives a more positive light to it and honors the joy found in the ordinary things around us.

This blog was created to serve as a place where I can keep a record of those little things to remind myself why I love the world and why I love life.
