Assignment #13
The most useful information that I learned this semester was how to use Spreadsheets and Presentations more effectively. I had some prior knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, but the homework, in particular the parts that involved showcasing tips that we learned, helped me advance my understanding of the software. I will definitely continue to use this information after this semester, and plan to take more online courses that will assist me in this.

Assignment #12
Many of the cross compatibility issues we encountered were related to formatting, fonts, and other features only present in one program and not the others. One of the most common errors was the changing of fonts due to one program not having the proper font, which would often lead to formatting errors such as text overlapping or being invisible. Almost all of the errors were easy to fix with an adjustment of fonts and formatting to ones that are available across all different programs.

Assignment #8
I have had a long history with Minecraft. Two of my friends in middle school introduced me to Minecraft when it was still in beta. I bought the game a long time later, just before I went to college. Working with Minecraft in this class has been an enjoyable experience. With 5 years of experience playing it, I found working with it easy. I definitely understand why Minecraft is so popular, as the many different ways to play it keep it unique and interesting.

Productivity Software Thoughts
For word processing and spreadsheet software I would use Word and Excel for private work, and Docs and Sheets for more group oriented work. For presentation software I would consider using all three programs depending on the situation. Impress has the most variety in transitions and sounds, while the interface of PowerPoint is easy to use. Slides, like all of the Google products, is noteworthy for its ease of use in group work.

Thoughts on Presentation Templates
I found working with templates to be very helpful. When I use presentation software in the future, I plan to use templates in almost every situation. For spreadsheets I would consider using templates in certain situations, but for presentations I would use templates most of the time. The already present graphics in the presentation templates make it much easier to make good looking presentations.

Google Slides in Slides, PowerPoint and Impress.
Impress changes the appearance extremely. Transitions are changed across all three versions. Sounds aren’t changed as Slides does not have sounds for transitions.
