i am burnt out with programming at work. i want to do something actually immediately helpful. side project time

are there any apps/websites that do something that seems like it would be (somewhat) straightforward for someone with coding experience to make, BUT suck to actually use in practice because the site is paywalled/predatory/steals data etc?

or something that doesn't currently exist but similarly could be achievable by one person with enough time?

the more specific and esoteric the better, i have no profit motive here so if it helps even 1 person i'm down

Can someone please explain to me how to get the new tubi badges outside of the US? I have tried with different Devices and VPNs for hours now but nothing worked. I just want a wizard cat :(

Solaris first try

So I thought that since I use this domain now I might as well try out the last available version of Solaris.

I have to say that it's better than I thought. I mean, the software is still from 2018 and I don't know how to update the software / install new one since there is no software store and I don't think it is compatible with any packages found online (No .deb / .rpm and I think it is to old for things like Flatpaks) but even in a VM it runs pretty smoothly.

It runs a modern looking GNOME Desktop but still has the old and detailed 2018 Icons which do look nice. It has an ancient version of Firefox (the old look definitely brought back some memories) that can't properly load modern websites anymore (tested on [tumblr] and nothing else).

Even though I can't really use this version for anything I might try out its open source continuation (I think it's called OpenIndiana?) in the future.

I have arrived. Cower before my greatness. Also I think Oracle still holds a trademark over SOLARIS so please don't sue me.

It seems that the world is not ready for Ba'al Worship just yet so now i will do the only logical next step: Infringe on a company trademark and start a linux-official blog. Get ready for @solaris-official.
