when they ask me about my favorite aesthetic in literature I sometimes say dark academia or horror but what I truly mean is unhinged people (preferably smart and gay) doing unhinged things while being crazy obsessed with each other and slowly descending into madness because of horrible crimes mixed with morbid fever-dream-like atmosphere.
