Man maybe it's because I never played the games but I don't understand what everyone is so mad about with tlou season 2 like yes season 1 is better but it's such a wildly different story/tone to begin with that it's hard to compare especially with us only having half of the story for part 2 so far. I hear that Ellie was a little harsher in the game, and I agree that could've been heightened a little more in the show, but I've seen a lot of people act like they wrote her as the same person she was in season 1 which is?? We literally have a flashback episode where she is that person and we can easily see the stark difference in who she is now like wtf are you talking about

Catching up on the last few eps of last of us and episode 5 is so funny with how Dina and Ellie keep having very tense discussions and worrying about how to stay alive and then every couple of minutes they pause that to go teehee we're in love 🥰

It's so crazy though like yes a little vindictive part of me wanted there to be no big buddie canon moment tonight because a lot of those fans have royally pissed me off in the last year even though I'm a buddie enjoyer myself but it was SO nothing like okay literally just a standard rescue move that was less extreme than many other moments?? That's it for the whole episode?? I thought there'd at least be like a conversation at some point why did they do a whole buddie press tour 😭

Well I think that was the last live 911 episode for me. I'm sure the curiosity will make me keep up with what's going on next season but man have this show and fandom both become completely unrecognizable to me. Really a shame.

I have to assume we return back to ody3 somehow next episode because at this point to have it suddenly become just an Avery/Max thing would be the writers doing an unbearably poor job of handling things with Tristan and frankly the through line of all three characters' relationships. Especially for a show where supposedly the question of renewal is based on whether or not there's more story to tell so presumably there's gonna be a somewhat neat ending to this season?

Like 1 in every 4 episodes really does a good job of returning back to the DNA of 911 and having good character moments/pacing and reminds me of the good old times and every time it brings me back in just a little bit and I hate it
