Sometimes I'll give artists who don't feature on my radar a try and I'm glad I did this with Louis Tomlinson's album Faith in the Future. Such a great album which deserved 5-6 singles and should've sold 2-3mil copies.

can you believe it, a big larrie post an anon called louis "If you believe all that Louis does and says is really Louis - then you'd despise him too. The fragile masculinity, the racism, the macho man, mansplaining, open homophobia and misogyny, chain-smoking, weed-smoking, excess alcohol, a deadbeat dad with a kid with a white racist like Briana and her despicable family, tory racist girlfriends like Eleanor, systematic bully of lgbtq, BFF with people like Nizam and Jordan." i mean, you are not gonna at least pretend to be a fan of louis?

Larriespeak vs. reality:

• Fragile masculinity = Larrie fantasy: Louis doesn’t wear women’s wear but prefers sportswear => reality: Louis has worn clothes specifically designed for women, specifically designs a unisex line of clothing, has described himself as flamboyant and camp.

• Racism = fantasy: Louis doesn’t work with POC artists => reality: he’s worked with POC songwriters, producers, opening acts. He has POC close friends who are childhood friends, who grew up with him.

• Open homophobia = fantasy: Louis denies Larry and doesn’t wave a pride flag on stage => reality: Louis was the first member of One Direction to defend their LGBT audience, has written clearly LGBT inclusive songs, has worked with queer, nonbinary, transgender musicians, makes his fanbase feel safe and loved no matter who they are

• Weed smoking = fantasy: Louis is a drug addict and Harry is pure => reality: is Harry really pure, when he writes openly about using cocaine and has harmed himself while high on psilocybins?

• Mansplaining = fantasy: Louis talks about his life and art articulately, with complexity, with consistency => reality: Louis talks about his life and art articulately, with complexity, with consistency

• Misogyny = fantasy: Louis had the same girlfriend for eleven years and he doesn’t have any women in his band => reality: Louis has worked with women in songwriting, song collaboration, management (Jesse), make up, styling. He has had multiple female acts open for him. He is interested in nurturing and fostering independent women musicians. His songs show an equal partnership with respect for them as human beings. He has always talked about his partners with respect, and he will defend them publicly.

• Louis smokes and drinks = fantasy: Niall and Liam’s caricature of Louis lying around during the pandemic, wasted => reality: I did not know that smoking and drinking were criminal activities? Louis has incredible work ethic and has arguably been multiple times more productive than any of the 1D men for the past couple of years.

• Louis is a deadbeat dad = fantasy: Louis is not a dad => reality: Louis is a dad. No one comes to dissect Larries’ families under a microscope, and I suspect few of us could withstand a hostile interrogation.

• Louis’ friends = fantasy: Louis shares all the views and actions of his despicable friends, and all the unsubstantiated rumors are true => reality: boy do I have some Harry news for you 😂. Larries invoke Jordan Green, but he was gone from Louis’ employment as soon as the SA allegations arose. Harry, on the other hand, chose to keep a friend who sent a dick pic to a fan, chose to go into business with him.

This is very abbreviated, but the Larrie caricature of Louis is designed to distract from their agenda of continuing a mlm group fantasy and promoting Harry. Their whining is embarrassing and childish. They aren’t fans of actual human beings. Louis isn’t perfect by far, but he’s not the cartoon character they make him out to be, and neither is Harry.

No matter how much you try, you words about Louis being amazing doesn’t matter. Nobody is listening and the rest of the world can see that it isnt true

I guess fans selling out his arena shows are listening.

The fans setting a world record to his livestream are listening.

The Harries listening to every single one of Louis’ livestream are listening.

Rolling Stone UK who nominated him for a performance award… they listened.

The Snuts, DMAs, OTP, Blossoms, Stone… they came to listen to Louis as soon as they flew home from the USA.

So much for your bitter fantasy.

for any of my one direction girlies, i'm just sitting minding my business sitting in an aisle seat with my friends and we're just watching people go up and down because we're sitting in a section with a vip lounge area with stairs leading directly to it, and we already saw a big name fighter come down just a few minutes ago so we're keeping an eye out. fast forward to this particular fight ending and people are getting up for the few minutes in between the next fight so i look up to see who's coming and then i see him and i was so shook that i had to double take him because i dead ass did not believe this man was in front of my eyes. i shot up so fast from my seat and gasped so hard and louis knew i knew so he gasped back at me 😭😭 he was so sweet i told him i've been the biggest fan since i've been a kid and he was super down to take the pic 🥹 literally nobody else knew who he was because it's all middle aged men i literally could not believe my eyes i did not expect to meet him at a ufc fight out of all places but the universe be working with INSANITY

We got up to a flier. It’ll be in its third year next year, just working out exactly where that’s gonna be. There is an element of, not quite of biting more than I can chew, but finding a different festival site in a different country every year is actually quite hard, but we’ll make it work!
