Forsaken Myth Ch.1 Part 1 - Getting The Ropes

(A human wanders around Mount Ebott and trips on a vine ,causing them fall in a deep chasm . They are dressed in a white robe and have brown eyes. Luckily they land on a golden flower bed. After a little while , they find the strength to get up. They look around the area of the cave and find a tunnel that goes deeper in the mountain. This is where Frisk's journey begins.)

(After walking for a little while , they see a small patch of grass in front of an entrance to some sort of structure. They go towards the entrance , but suddenly , a small golden flower emerges from the patch of grass in front of Frisk)

Flowey : Howdy! I'm Flowey. Flowey the Flower! Hmmmm , you are new to the Underground , aren'tcha? Golly , you must be so confused! Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess your new best pal will have to do. Ready? Here we go!

(Suddenly , all of the area near Frisk turned black and their new friend , Flowey , became monochrome. To Frisk's surprise, they had the exact same colors as Flowey. They see a small little red heart in the center of their chest.)

Flowey : See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being! Your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV. What's LV stand for? Why, LOVE of course! But that is not everything , if you behave nice to monsters around here, you may even learn a thing or two! After all , that is one of the ways to show your LOVE to your friends , isn't it? However ,down here, LOVE is shared through... little white... "friendliness pellets." Are you ready? Get as many as you can!

(Frisk smiles as they find their first friend in this new world. They eagerly jump towards a pellet and try to grab it with their hand , but they feel a stinging pain as they try to grasp it. Drops of blood run across their fingers. Flowey laughs and smiles deviously.)

Flowey : You IDIOT! In this world , it's kill or BE killed. Why would ANYONE pass up an opportunity like this!? With your soul , I can become stronger than EVER!

(Frisk backs away slowly in fear , but Flowey traps them in place with vines and surrounds them with pellets.)

Flowey : Die.

(As the pellets close in on Frisk , a sudden swish of a fireball is heard coming towards Flowey and the fire burns his petals. He quickly retreats in the ground , releasing Frisk from the viny grasp. A big goat lady in a big purple dress with an orange symbol in the middle heads towards Frisk.)

??? : You are not hurt , are you child? That terrible creature usually roams this place ,but I did not think they would go after you. Oh , right! I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is TORIEL , caretaker of the RUINS. I pass through this area of the ruins every day to water the flowers and to see if anyone has fallen down. I haven't seen a human in a really long time.

(Frisk , with an uneasy look on their face, inches closer to their saviour.)

Toriel : I see you've been hurt. Let me help you , little one.

(As Frisk stays close to Toriel , she pulls out a bandage and applys it on their hand. Frisk regains their lost HP back.)

Toriel : Come! I shall guide you through the catacombs. Just follow me closely , alright?

(Frisk nods and toriel starts leading the way to the entrance , but something catches Frisk's eye: a relatively small star floating in the air somewhere near their pathway. They go towards it and as Frisk touches it , they feel reinvigorated. They are filled with DETERMINATION. After going through the first two puzzles after some... tedious brainstorming from Frisk's behalf, they soon reach the DUMMY.)

Toriel : There are a lot of monsters in the underground that may try to attack you , so you should practice with this dummy so you can get a better understanding of this place. Here , give it a try!

(As the battle between Frisk and the Dummy commences , they decide to use CHECK on the Dummy : ”It is just a practice dummy. It cannot hurt you.” After using CHECK , Frisk notices the ”ANALYSIS” button in the ACT section. Curious, they decide to press it : ”ATK:0 , DEF:0 , STA:0 , MAG:0. Skills: None, Abilities: None.”)

Toriel : Ah , I see you've gotten started. The CHECK button allows you to see details about a monsters personality and traits , while the ANALYSIS button allows you to see more in depth details of their combat and social capabilities. If you ACT nice to monsters , they might just teach you a thing or two! Here , try talking to it!

(Frisk hesitates for a moment; they recall Flowey’s words—“Kill or BE killed.” and instead of talking to it , they hit it with all of their might. They think that , if there are going to be more monsters like Flowey out there , they need to be really strong to be able to defeat them. The Dummy faints after the second strike.)

Toriel : Dummies are for talking , not for fighting! We don't want to hurt anyone , do we?

(They proceed to the next room , but Frisk encounters a Froggit on the way to the next puzzle. Curious about the ANALYSIS, button , the human decide to use it: ”ATK:4 , DEF:1 , STA:2 , MAG:1. Skills: None , Abilities: Hop Hop (low chance of dodging incoming attacks (Passive)).” Seeing this , they decide to take swing at them and , to their surprise, they knock it out in one strike and the Froggit turns into dust. Frisk receives 10 EXP and 20 GOLD , making them level up to level 2. They check their stats: ”It is you. HP: 24 ,ATK:2 , DEF:0 , STA:1 , MAG:0. Skills: None, Abilities: Copycat (You may use a monster's ability or skill after defeating it. Your certain stats need to be suitable for each particular skill and ability)”. Being curious , they decide to use it on the next enemy they see. Toriel , unaware of what happened , cotinues through the room.)

Toriel : Come now child , I think you might need help with this puzzle. Would you grab my hand for a moment?

(They progress and after a of hide and seek and a bit of running , Toriel ends up giving Frisk a telephone and going on ahead to take care of some chores. Frisk ends up alone and they head on through the ruins , however they meet with a couple of Froggits and they decide to fight with them. They end up using their ”Copycat” ability on one of the them and so Frisk obtains their first ability through combat , ”Hop Hop”. As they wandered deeper, Frisk spotted a WHIMSUN trembling in the corner. They took it down in a single swipe, absorbing its skill—‘Swat Away.’ Another enemy appeared—this time, a MOLDSMAL. It wobbled as Frisk struck. ‘Sticky Defense’ became theirs. However , they wanted to use these abilities and put them to the test, so they proceeded through the ruins with a total level of 3. It was progress , but not enough. They ended up finding a toy knife which served as their new weapon and arrived at their first stop , Toriel's house.)

Authors note: Frisk has no limit of abilities to learn and combat mechanics might get more interesting when an actual battle arrives... ,but we will see.

Chapter 2 - (???)

I want to release at least the first 2 parts of Act 1 this week or by the end of next week. This will be a long journey , but ohhhh boy , we are just getting started. I literally cant draw or animate so this wont be a comic or anything like that (unfortunate isnt it?) , but oh well , reading will have to do it for now. Gotta use that imagination you know? Dont worry , ill provide all the details for you , all you need to do is THINK SANS , THINK!

Forsaken Myth - Prequel

(this scene starts from The Narrators eyes , all creators mentioned have humanoid shapes with question marks on their faces and have purple outlines) Narrator (looking at the view of the doodlesphere): Everyone used to try to change the future of this place and there are still some that are trying right now , but they all have selfish reasons to do so , or at the very least have some dubious justifications for their actions.

Narrator (closes his eyes , the screen goes dark): But what if I were to tell you that , at some point , there were some people that actually cared for this place a bit , like I did. Im not saying their reasons arent selfish , but they werent destructive at the very least.

Narrator (opens his eyes , the doodlesphere comes back into view , creators in sight) : These people used to work here , making this place more colourful and lively each day. In the early days , mass destruction events were not even taken into consideration , because everyone had the same goal: to make this place enjoyable , happy , like home...of course , this happiness is subjective from creator to creator.

Narrator (looks at the creator): However , this creator specifically was not satisfied with only creating something just for the fun of it, SHE felt the need to connect with other creators , to get to know them in a way or another. And what was the best way to get others to share things with her? Well , they were all good at one thing , creating.

Narrator (the creator is approaching other creators): So she invited every inventor out there to join her in the making of an universe , but what made this one different than any other ? SHE told them that they would all be able to assign themselves a being , a monster of their choice , and teach them the skill or ability that they were the best at. That way , once they were done with developing everything , they would all be able to learn different things from the monsters other creators made . All these valuable skills would be accessible to everyone that started their route in the universe ... a dangerous game to play...

Narrator (looks at the universe) : But most of the creators were against this idea . They called it foolish and unsafe. Despite their objections , there were still enough creators that joined and helped make this universe , but barely enough to cover all the monster races. Can you really imagine what this universe would have looked like if nobody worked on it?...It wouldnt have looked like anything , it wouldnt exist if there werent enough creators to help make this , which means that all the makers of this universe are to blame for what happened next.

Narrator (the view switches to inside the universe) : So then they all started ”coding” away , making their own little twists and teaching skills to the monsters they picked. At that point , SHE realised that the universe they were making was destined to be a safe haven , a place where everyone can get to know eachother by simply going around and chatting with a monster. This was also her way of getting to talk with other creators during the development of the universe.

Narrator (view switches to the creator within the universe): But SHE still needed to pick a monster of her choice to develop. She looked around and realised that all of her choices were exhausted. Everyone had already picked their own being , but she was left in the dust , the one that came with the idea in the first place. As SHE looked at the list of characters that partake in the action of a normal timeline , there was something that caught her eye. A character that had almost no role in the story , and would only appear in THAT route. SHE had to develop something , otherwise SHE would get left out , so the decision was made. Chara would be her development project and there were no objections made , as this whole project was her objective to learn about other creators , so there was no problem if her creation didnt take any role in this. ”Its not like there would be any instances of Chara appearing anyways” SHE said , ”This was made only for creators use only and there shouldnt be any routes starting as long as they are here ”.

Narrator (view switches to the creator editing Chara's code): And here is how everything started. Her view of Chara was one of a mindless murderer ,but SHE had to put in her own personal skill or trait , putting anything else in would defeat the purpose of this project. ”You want to learn everything there is to learn in this place and...” her voice pauses. Her mind wanders around for a bit , but then her voice starts again more confident than ever ”...you yearn for power ,but only to use it to defend whats precious to you”. This was probably her way of trying to tame a REAL monster from doing anything bad in case something went wrong , but SHE knew this wouldnt be the case since Chara was never meant to be free from her spiritual form in a ”normal” universe. The mistake on her behalf was thinking that this was a ”normal” universe , however this universe was never meant for routes and for normal interactions between a player and monsters. A powerful trait nonetheless, but id say that ... you have picked the wrong MONSTER to apply it to...

Narrator (looks at the creators chat and play with their finished creations): When they finished , they started playing and chatting with their creations and with eachother. Oh , to be proud of something you worked hard on. But not all good things last forever... they eventually finished talking and exploring the skills of their creations , a fun way to see what others are interested in , sure, but they didnt have the will to actually learn anything from them. Their main job was creating their own personal universes , so when they were finally finished exploring everything , they started leaving one by one... every creator must finish their own work , even if this was a fun side project. SHE looked at each and every one of them leaving slowly , as they were done messing around with the one thing that brought them together , and to be honest , SHE had grown a bit bored of it as well. Her goal was fulfilled: getting to know other people just like her , and she was proud of the result. But what should one do with something they dont use? So much was put in this project and getting rid of it was off the table for her , so she decided to simply leave it be. That universe became the only thing that would remind her of the connections SHE made with others , something that was near and dear to her.

Narrator (looks at the Snowdin from within the universe): But as everyone else left and the original creator that started this whole thing left , this universe had no purpose anymore. The only thing that made this place peaceful was the creators presence , but as they all took their leave , the game simply begun working as usual. And so , the first route started and , as we all know, it started with. . . (To be continued in part 1 of timeline Nr.1)

Forsaken Myth

Heya boys , gals and all that. I want this post to mark my official launch of an Undertale fan concept which I thought of for a while. I want this to be the start of something beautiful and maybe well written by me (if the Lord and my mind allow me to do so). Ill look around other posts and artists to get a brief idea on how getting started with an Undertale concept and AU actually works and ill maybe follow up with different posts on what my idea is about, whats special (if anything) about it and all the other ”very” important stuff.

Now , ill give some small/medium rare/big spoilers/details here which you might want to read : -This is NOT centered around Sans or Papyrus or Gaster or any other magical skeleton. Well , at least not for the most part. Its actually centered around Chara (oh wow , another Chara AU? crazy). -This will include other AUs later on in the story , but in the beginning there will only be maybe a mention of them , probably a scence or a few words from them MAX. -There is a concept which id like to borrow from Jael Peñaloza aka Jakei which is the Creation Soul. It wont play a role that big , but it is better to just let everyone know beforehand. -There will be a Narrator , as this a story from the past supposedly , which means that as the events progress in the script , we may or may not arrive at a present where the Narrator is revealed to be someone rather peculiar. The Narrator will appear on rare occasions. VERY rare occasions. Including the beginning , whats a story without some insight on what the hell is going on? But if we dont reach the present , then we have to agree that all stories must have an end... maybe an unpleasant one considering the circumstances... -As there will be other AUs involved , there will be the concept of the Doodlesphere and other places related to it involved. Ill make sure to credit the creators of all the ideas used. -Ever played a RPG? Heard of Baldurs Gate 3 and all of their FANTASTICAL abilities , skills and etc. etc.? This will... have something somewhat related to this? There will be something related to abilities and learning , however there wont be a currency system or anything silly like that. Unless? Im just joking. Or am I? -There will be some growth in this. What do I mean by this? Emotional of course! This might end up looking like some hero story emotional development or something like that , but oh BOY , there is nothing heroic about this one , not one bit. If you know what Chara is like , even emotional development doesnt cover everything. Not when there is POWER to obtain. But just how much is there to get? -Remember how Asriel got all his powers at the end of Undertale (pacifist run)? Such a hotshot ,huh? One may even call him a BIGSHOT. We will have that here , but there was something about this that didnt really stick with me. So we will spice things up and change it around. As it was shown in the fight with Omega Flowey , soul absorption can have its downsides. Souls rumbling in your stomach? Revolution? Pffft , who needs all of that? Salvageable things are not really a HER style. Well then , what are we going to do about that? We will see...in a post, duh. I wouldnt explain it all here. -This will have like , 2 different storylines going on, more or less (I cant count). One will have the bigger picture , the other will have the genoc- , I mean uhh , the tale of that Chara , right right right. No killing in this family friendly story , got it? Just a bit of heartbreaks. -You know how Chara is solo? She would get rid of Frisk if she could , you gotta believe me (foreshadowing)! But even alone physically doesnt mean that one is alone spiritually.Well , not exactly spirtually, soul-ly maybe? In your mind ? Something like that. I just hope nothing bad happens to those poor souls just standing in the way. But hey , when life gives you lemons , you ought to SQUEEZE them and not give anyone lemonade, you found the lemons after all. But if there isnt anyone left to share the lemonade to , are you supposed to just drink it all? ...Wait...what were we talking about? Now then , this should be about it right...right? I suppose I need to thank everyone that is reading this (if anyone) , so thanks ! I dont know why you read all this , but im glad you did. Until next time...
