While it didn’t take much to get Lavinia to leave Highgarden and go back to Kings Landing, she actually had a decent excuse for leaving for once. No need to come up with any elaborate reasons or convince her mother to write and ask for her to come back to court this time.

With all her travel to and from Kings Landing, she was quite sick of the Rose Road. Thankfully however, this particular journey was almost at an end. The party had stopped briefly to allow the horses to rest and Lavinia stepped out from her carriage to enjoy the fresh air before spending the rest of the day trapped in the carriage.

She flashed a smile at Loras as he walked over to her. He had been pleasant enough company on their trip so far so she had little to complain about.

“Not long now until we’re there. You must be thrilled, finally getting to compete in the tourney rather than dealing with this every day” she laughed, gesturing around them “I’m sure it will make a nice change.”
