Honestly? He didn't really think the question would have gotten him this far. Ven didn't often get to pry into Master Xehanort's life, and he certainly didn't want to ask about things he didn't want him to know... but it was interesting to hear stories from someone when he didn't have any to tell.

In any case, he wasn't going to waste his chance!

Through everything Norman had heard of the Tsaritsa–which, admittedly wasn't a whole lot, considering–he knew that she wasn't the type to lie just to get someone on her side. It must have always been the cold and bitter truth. That let him be able to trust what she was saying, at the very least.

But even if he didn't, what choice did he really have? This–if true–would let him at the very least see Emma and Ray again. And be able to keep his new team safe from harm. At least from the Fatui.

❝ Yes. I completely understand. ❞ Norman responded. He had seen many people from the Fatui in his life so far, and none of them seemed to fully support Il Dottore. It only stood to make sense that the Tsaritsa herself would at least say the same. ❝ No one is safe if the world isn't, and what we do will make it so. ❞

He knew of the practices of Celestia, they were taught so in the House of the Hearth. He knew that a single mistake could mean danger for them all. Escaping the House–and the Doctor's facility for that matter–was never about a disagreement with that fact, it was an act of self preservation. Now that his friends had made it out, and he had a way out too. But... if the Tsaritsa was advancing on her plans, then that means they are either getting closer to a win, or they were running out of time before Celestia intervened. It was the only thing left that endangered his friends' safety.

Surely they didn't actually believe they would be successful... A small group of children against the Fatui? Laughable, if she were still capable of such a thing. Of course they were caught. They may have outwitted Il Dottore’s researchers, but outside of their lab? They were woefully outmatched.

Still… The heist they pulled was impressively executed, and by children at that. Lyudmila was not aware that such a promising child had been raised within the House of the Hearth. After all, this boy standing before her was the mastermind behind the entire plot. Such a brilliant mind should not be wasted… And if Lyudmila simply sent him back to where he was, it would only be a matter of time before he attempted another escape. That would slow productivity.

Dette hadn't really thought about it much. There was a sort of hole where her emotions should be in reaction to the information that was oh so gracefully given to them by the game master. If anything, anything at all, it was shock that hadn't settled in. It didn't have time to settle in. If she had, then she would stop, and stopping could have very well meant death.

But anger, anger, was something that hadn't managed to seep through yet. And Ashley's blatant show of it had jumped her back up, pulling her back into the present and back into the game. She turned to the girl next to her, and nodded her head.
