I’ve been going back and forth since the moment robert crashed the wedding on this: where do you think the odds currently are for an affair 2.0? it feels like it could definitely happen but equally it feels like that’s not where they’re going with aaron right now. genuinely hard to call

I just feel like there's too much set up for it not to go there at this point. I mean we have:

Aaron kissing him on the bridge

Aaron sending him back to prison because he can't trust himself and he knows if Robert's around they will get into something

The fact that Robert's investigation needs a new direction because no one is going to believe him so John is kind of in the clear and there needs to be some kind of catalyst

The listening device that is still in Vic's house

The fact that John reiterated today that Robert needs to stay away from Aaron when he wasn't even going near Aaron anyway

The fact that John is about to encourage Aaron to be nice to Robert

Once Aaron lets Robert in at all, it can only be a matter of time

Aaron's extreme anger yesterday and today that kind of came out of nowhere (or from six years of repressed feelings but...no one asked for his thoughts haha) anyway...it feels like maybe they're taking Aaron to one extreme because they need to set up what comes next and they needed to remind people because they hadn't interacted in a while

John has the Anthony secret and now this video to blackmail them with...if there's nothing to blackmail them over then....why bring those into play in the first place

Also the Aiden parallel of John always feeling second best with him...now we need that with Aaron

It would just kind of feel crazy if they don't go there at this point.

(I mean obviously they love to disappoint us but they've been going in such a good direction lately and I want it to continue)

John thinking Robert braining him with a wrench is the thing that will keep him away from Aaron for good…meanwhile he doesn’t understand their dynamic or know that Robert attempting to murder Aaron’s family is kind of their love language.

I've been thinking hoping that Danny and Ryan being on leave at the same time even though there's been a lot of speculation that John's downfall is being filmed around now is a sign that Lodge 2.0 is happening.

But then it struck me that if Aaron and Robert went missing from the village, everyone would just assume that they've run off together.

I have to laugh at certain wordings of that spoiler that say Aaron tells Robert he is valued member of the village. Robert probably doesn’t care about 99% of that village but Aaron’s gonna be like ‘there’s my good citizen Robert Sugden’.
