This feels a lot like watching a distant hurricane.
You see on the news that lives are being uprooted, things are being damaged and people are losing access to the basic things they need to live. It’s over there, you think. It’s terrible that it’s happening to people, but it won’t hurt me. Big things like that don’t happen over here. Its faults in the bones of their buildings that make them so vulnerable to these harsh conditions. Even if it drifted over, we have stronger buildings anyway. Yet, you start hearing news reports. Harsh winds are hitting your shores, and you pretend not to notice the headlines for your own sanity. You see a picture under a headline of a house with the roof ripped off by these harsh storms. You ignore how similar the house looks to your own vision of where you want to live, how the roof is that same style. Again, for your own sanity. It doesn’t affect you yet. Your roof hasn’t been remodelled like that yet, so it’s maybe less susceptible- despite how much more ‘you’ your house would feel, and how the old roof sets your teeth on edge, you can’t risk it. It’s too dangerous. Meanwhile, far off, the storm is getting worse, and you’re praying it rages itself to an early end before anyone else gets hurt, but you don’t know. Meteorologists say that overseas storm could be ruining all it touches for four years, and that it may even return in some capacity if the climate is too damaged to remain stable.

Take 3 from 48 and give it to 27 to make 30+45, which is very nice since it’s all 5s and 0s at the end. I moved the 5 over first for some reason so 35+40 (no need ik but that’s just what my brain did) and then 3+4 is 7 so 35+40=75 :D

i do want to say, the pope dying is not Good. like haha on easter, we hate the churches and religion, but pope francis made real change within the church. he cared. he was willing to listen.
the next pope will hopefully be better, but there is a very real, very imminent chance that the next pope will turn back everything pope francis stood for. the next pope could very very well be a an extreme right leaning pope.

Look it is very important to me that everyone knows that Sophie is also fucking nuts in the book. Everybody always talks about how absurd Howl in the book but Sophie is right there with him.
She's so determined to be the normal sister that she's just actually convinced herself that the magic she is clearly, visibly, blatantly performing happens to everyone. Just. You know. Not anyone around her. The curse wore off weeks ago and she's just totally sure she's happier as an old woman. Her sisters have initiated some complex long-game tomfoolery to switch lives and Sophie also thinks that this is the most logical choice.
Sophie does not move in with a romantic mythic man who treats her right, she moves in with a runaway doctoral candidate who immediately dates her sister and drags her into his family drama. She and Howl are both so afraid of romantic commitment they accidentally trick themselves into becoming life partners. They kill the witch of the waste mostly on a whim, and they argue about which one of them is more impulsive for doing so the whole time.

Planet Earth is an art project their child handed to them and they’re being amazed and supportive about it. Snake loves the craftsmanship and is especially impressed with all the little fiddly bits around Norway

A zookeeper gets isekai’d into a fantasy world and goes into summoning magic—which is considered very hard—because no one else thought to properly enrich their summons.
