You are ready to go to sleep and ask your f/o to join you. They promise to follow you soon after they are done with their project. You two share a goodnight kiss, you go to bed and fall asleep.
You wake up at night and notice your f/o isn't sleeping next to you. You get up and find them still working on their project. They are surprised to see you all sleepy in your night garment. They had lost track of time and are sorry you had to sleep alone. Still they insist working on their project before joining you.
You have none of it! You try to stay up with your f/o until they are done. Unfortunately your mind feels heavy and you almost fall asleep every now and then. Your f/o looks at your sleepy form for a while in silence, they cannot stand to see you so tired because of them. Finally they take your hand and walk you to the bed with them. You two snuggle and share another goodnight kiss before falling asleep.

Illinois laughed. "It's alright. I surrender to you, my love!" He put his hands up. "We have to save some cake for the rest of the guest."
Jackalin adjusted the beaded girdle that took in the black cotton dress that they had chosen for their pagan wedding gown. They turned this way and that, looking down at themself. A crown of nile lilies rested upon their brow, and a veil of golden, sheer and sparkling fabric. "Alright." They held out their hand and their maid of honor handed them their bouquet of wildflowers and herbs. Their braided black leather sandals tapped the wooden floor as they paced by the door, waiting for the music to start. They looked at their maids, sharing a nervous giggle with them all. The dresses were black cotton, breathable, simple, silver pentacles painted on the chests. "Ready?"
The harp started a flighty aria, and Jackalin's body stilled. It was time.
--
Phantom brushed some dust off of Illinois' black tunic, making sure with a practiced eye that the rings were safe and shining on the velvet cushion. "You're ready? You're familiar with your vows? I'll be tying the handfasting. Make sure you don't faint at the sight of them." He winked. "Vows, wine, knot, rings. Remember." He drilled it into Illinois at every chance he'd had today to prepare. He couldn't wait to see Des, and he was equally certain that Illy couldn't wait to see Jackalin.

"Ohhoho, I've done coke before! In fact, I carry some with me at all times." She pulls out a can of coca cola mini from her other pocket. "And math is for nerds!"
"Oi!" Lunarbelle ran up to angel. "You have a bowtie like me!"
"Why yes, lil' Ewe, I do!" He reached out with his right upper hand and fluffed the sheep demon's hair. His lower two hands fiddled with his pink bowtie and he winked at her.

"I think so! Lemme check!" She put her hand in her pocket and then pulled it out. "Sorry Angel. All I have is a 60 dollars, a pack of gum, and a cool rock I found of the ground."

She chuckled. "Now I can be both the most dapper, the most powerful, and the most evilest demon off them all!!!"
She was none of those things.

"Well you see your highness, my parents were sailors. But one day they went out to sea and...never came back." She sighed. "My uncle blamed be for it."
As soon as Des heard the music start playing, she left her sewing work behind and rushed outside. There was a parade, and one the float, the new king. Her eyes widened with awe.
The port town of the Cove o’ Teeth was alive with celebrations as the brand new King of east seas, Captain Phantom was being carried on a palanquin with his sabre sword in his hand as the crowd sang sea chanteys at the top of their lungs. His eyes scanned the crowd and rested on Des. His eyebrow raised. “Oy! Put me down, lads, I see something I like....”
They obeyed, the crowd quieting. He strode over to where Des stood, plucking a sweet cheese bun from a booth of festival food, handing it to her while leaning in close.
“Yer thin as a rope, lass. courtesy o’ me.” he winked.

She nodded before taking a bite of chicken. A bite so small that it barely made a dent in it.
"I'd love to, but...My boss would never allow me." She sighed. "Not after what happened..."

"Makes me tick?" She asked. "I mean...I kind of enjoy sewing. That's part of the reason why im a tailor. But I don't get to go out much." Shr shrugged. "I love the ocean though. When I was a child, my family's house was right by it!"

She blushed at the nickname and sat at the table. "...Why are you being so nice to me?" She had. "You don't know me...or my name so...why, your highness?"

With that she made a mental note to never get on this mans bad side. She quickly let go of his arm. "S-Sorry..."

Before Des could answer, she flinched at the bottle smashing. Clinging closer to Phantom. Wrapping her arms around one of his. And hiding her face in his shoulder.

Her mouth started watering at just the thought of such a meal. But she managed to come back to reality and nod.
"I'm just a tailors apprentice. It doesn't pay a lot. Not to mention I have to use what little I do make to pay off a debt...but, thank you your highness!"
