Drawing the Fell Skelebros and I am like, building the best HCs for them. I’ve decided that Papyrus put an eyepatch on Doomfanger for “intimidation factor,” but it turns out looking really goofy. Sans, on the other hand, would swap the eyes the patch is over to see if Papyrus would notice. I haven’t decided if he does notice or not. Whichever is funnier. Either he doesn’t, but distinctly feels like something is different or he does notice and assumes THE CAT MUST BE THE ONE MOVING IT.

I’m a firm believer of Fell Paps still being a dork despite being more intimidating. AND HE’S NOT ABUSIVE TO SANS. Okay, maybe a little but it’s the usual two brothers getting into brawls kinda thing and hitting each other and calling each other names, but OH, NOT EVEN GOD CAN SAVE WHOEVER LAYS A FINGER ON THE OTHER’S BROTHER. THEY WILL END YOUR BLOODLINE AND USE YOUR DUST AS CONFETTI. They’re just the aggressive side of sibling culture and I will portray them no other way. Idc if Underfell is the edgy and bleak AU, they’re silly and will always be silly. There is no universe where Sans would have a reason to be afraid of Papyrus. You cannot CONVINCE ME.

It’s no mystery that I absolutely adore @zarla-s writing, and that she’s the only one who’s depressing Undertale AUs I can genuinely get interested in. I’ve drawn Handplates before, but I really wanted to give Zarla’s heart-breaking story of loss a, well… a “happy” ending? This is a story of loss and recovery. (The stylistic choices have been selected carefully, and are explained here: Acceptance - style and colour symbolism) Zarla has created this AU as a way to cope with loss, and an experience that I’ve gone through as well.  I hope this will speak to those who have also lost someone. (I feel like I don’t really have to specifically state this, but please be respectful.)
