I'll give that weapon a shot later and see how I fare with it once I'm done with the Emberz weapons and move on to the Barazushi set.

I thought I'd start with the new REEF-LUX as opposed to the standard Tr-Stringer--what it lacks in power and explosive arrows, it can still make up for it in firing speed and still pack a punch.

And for the first game of the new patch, it was a close one!

Ooh, boy. Nintendo is really giving the Splatoon Community a chance to really put some effort into Splatoon 3 with wanting to 100% as much as we can in our lifetimes. I'm actually impressed by everything.

Leave it to Sheldon to have 30 sales pitches ready to go in a relatively short amount of time.

Here's some of my favourite quips from this batch.

Ah, and it looks like I got a new badge out the gate--this particular one is awarded for having at least 10 weapons with at least 4★ freshness.

And it looks like there's even more levels. Really wants you to play all the kits, eh?

Since they shut down Splatoon 1's online multiplayer with ending online services for the Wii U, it is nice that Nintendo brought the original map back for playing in Splatoon 3.

The next big surprise was the return of the stage that started it all--Urchin Underpass from the Wii U original.

It feels great to be back to the place where we all began our squid-kid journeys ten years ago. Good to be home again!

Oh, and we get balance changes, too. I mean the game needed a patch anyway to address some bugs introduced by the Switch 2, but it seems they had a lot more planned for this game than we thought!

I haven't spent many of my Sheldon Licenses and been hoarding them. I had over 130 before cashing in for the new weapons. It is as if my gut was telling me not to spend them on the Shell-Out Machine as something big was coming and it was right.

Coming out of left field once again, Nintendo brings us a massive update to Splatoon 3 to bring the Switch and Switch 2 together on the same level of competitive timesinks.

First on the list is a staggering THIRTY new weapon kits, bringing many new play options to the battlefield. Good thing I held on to 38 Sheldon Licenses!

I've been curious what your thoughts were on the new Emberz and Barazushi weapons, Firestorm. I'm still breaking them in, but I am impressed with the loadouts for some of them already.

It is going to be interesting seeing Deep Cut sporting new outfits for Splatoon Raiders from their regular attire and their Seasonal Splatfest outfits. Not to mention their Grand Festival outfits as well.

Hope everyone is already making plans for which team they are siding with next month for the Summer Nights Splatfest. After that, we'll have to see what comes in September for the next Big Run and if we get a Grand Festival rerun or not before the next Splatoween Splatfest.

Things are heating up, a special Summer Nights Splatfest is inkoming!
