In the OVA, Sonic and Metal didn't just share a mind link, their personalities were bleeding into each other, Metal being cocky and heroic, while Sonic thought more roboticly and logical. When Tails altered Metal's programming Metal realized what was happening, and that if one of them didn't die they would essentially become the same person. A person who could of easily been reprogrammed by Eggman. Because of this and Sonic's love of freedom, Metal chose to die for his Sonic's sake.

Being an absolute nerd, Silver sometimes incorporates signs into his psychic attacks, and has become famous in the deaf community for that. Sometimes he will see kids out on the street signing the moves documented by reporters and gets a little fluttery inside when he sees it because he felt like he passed down something to hold onto in this generation, especially during the events of Sonic Forces. Sonic was once fell selectively mute to cope with childhood abuse in foster care since his parents were gone. One day he snuck out to escape it all and ended up pursuing Eggman in Sonic 1. Later he met Tails & eventually trusted him enough to start talking again, & slowly (ironically) was able to move on & become the hedgehog he is today. But he always has a lingering fear that his voice would be taken away again, so it’s important to him that he gets all the words out in case they’re his last

In sonic 06, if rouge had taken and few more steps forward when mephiles was freed, mephiles would have taken her shade instead of shadows. In alternate dimensions, this has already happened.

Although there are jokes Shadow wears eyeliner, its actually true.  Maria used to put makeup on him, she always put red eyeliner on him, he still does this because he thought the red liner was fitting and the fun memories he had with Maria

Eggman never liked Infinite to begin with. He knew he was too incompetent and the only reason he kept him around is because he activated his strongest phantom ruby and therefore was the only one who could use it. He decides to use him as a weapon until he could surpass the power of his ruby (and he did with the death egg robot) and then get rid of him

Due to the sheer craziness of the Storybook Series (relative to Sonic and co's usual antics), no one outside of Tails even tried to believe Sonic when he told them about the Arabian Nights, and even Tails was convinced it was just a really vivid dream Sonic had. After Amy's response to him being sucked into Arthurian Legend he decided not to discuss those adventures with the rest of the group. They only began to believe him after an incident which turned him back into Darkspine Sonic
