TW: Traumatic preterm labor, sensitive ___________________________________ It was storming outside, Dax and Zen were asleep. Until Zen felt that something was wrong. Zen: "Oh my God, it is too early." She worried. She tried to move to the side, thinking it was just the baby being playfully active, while she was trying to sleep. But soon followed, a sharp intense pain. Zen: "Dax,... wake up." She pushes Dax out the bed, with little strength she had left. Dax still sleepy he says " Girl what the fu-" He opens his weary eyes and sees Zen in tears there is a blood stain in the bed. Dax: "Oh damn, bae come on. "

They rush out of the house into the storm, filling the old rustic pick up truck, with overnight bags, blankets and what they think is enough for their hospital bag. As the muddy pebbled dirt rolled underneath the tires, the two fled to the nearest hospital in Chestnut Ridge. They pulled up to an old Victorian Childbirth Emergency Center. Soon they were greeted by Emergency staff and personnel. They were led to their own unit. The medical team told Zen and her husband that she was dilating early and that was the reason for the pain and leakage. They told her to rest in the pool to make it easier for the pain although she was not dilated all the way just yet. She and Dax cuddled in the pool as they awaited their journey to 10cm.
