okay so i’m almost done with another rewatch of the series and,,, man, if i wasn’t canon divergent before, i sure am now !!

the way i’m about to binge the series again for the tenth time just to end up overanalyzing and picking it apart like i always do

he’d genuinely enjoyed his time as flynn, swiping things that didn’t belong to him. lying about it, about who he was, backstabbing his partners, running from the law. it’d been empowering, almost, feeling above it all. as though rules didn’t apply to him anymore, because he knew he could get away with breaking them. he can’t deny that he didn’t enjoy a good amount of that life while he’d been living it without his pants spontaneously bursting into flames.

it was a fun dosage of schadenfreude, sometimes. so he...gets it. he does. doesn’t mean he’ll condone it now, though.
