“you can be gay you just can’t act on it” is the most braindead shit homophobic muslims say, they literally just want queer people to be lonely and miserable and not be able to lead happy and fulfilled lives and use islam to justify their prejudice lol

and even if, for example, a gay muslim man doesn’t “act on it” and marries a woman, how is it fair to subject an innocent woman to a marriage with a man who will never be able to love her the way that she deserves? why should she suffer because a gay man was brainwashed into suppressing his identity at her expense? I constantly see muslim women saying they’re terrified of ending up with a dl/closeted husband and I don’t understand how that’s anyone’s fault but the muslim community refusing to allow queer people the right to love without being ostracized
