The United States of America never fails to disappoint me their utter disregard for human decency.

I’d personally say that yes, ASD is a disability. It’s a spectrum, meaning that it can impact different people in vastly different ways and to wholly different extents, but it does have an impact.
The impact that it’s had on me is much less than it is on a lot of fellow autistics. I can pass as an albeit burnt out neurotypical if I try a little, but it still has an impact on me. It’s usually the little things, like the minutia and unspoken rules of socialization, to the need for some form structure. Stuff like that is harder for me than it is for other people.
I’d like to hear your opinions on it, as my experience is rather limited.
For me, I do consider it a disability. It can make everyday life overwhelming. I find it too bright outside, and I nearly had a panic attack in a restaurant once because of the noise.
I don’t hate my autism or anything, but it can make life difficult to live with.

Capitalism don’t get stuff done, it just determines who gets payed for said stuff. And under capitalism, it isn’t the people who actually do the work that get payed. It’s the people who own the people resources that get payed. Fun.

#this says a lot about our society#and the fundamental flaws of our current system of economic management#anyway have a day

I kinda wish there were fanfics and ships of the tally hall characters instead of the members, like I wanna see Banana Man × Henry Hume. That has potential.

"Sure, some people will lose some rights and privacy, but at least we're protecting the kids!"
When I was 14, I used to carry a flashdrive with TOR on it to bypass the school's internet safety filters so I could get on Facebook and play flash games. Kids are smarter than you want to think. You aren't protecting shit.

READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO BOYCOTT YOUTUBE LONG-TERM
get an invidious account. it is an alternative front-end to youtube, allowing you to make an account, subscribe to channels, make playlists, and all the other things you use youtube for; all without giving the company a single cent. swearing off youtube long-term is a tall ask, so you can use this to still follow the creators you want to keep up with while continuing the youtube boycott. it has a built-in adblock and anti-tracker, meaning that you can really keep fucking them over.
it doesnt interact with the API at all, it scrapes the metadata to make sure they get as little as possible.
