Duncan Idaho rides his red dun mustang, Béxar, alongside the coach and its team of morgans, keeping an eye on the horizon. His long hair falls down his back, tied along its length with a leather thong in a familiar style he picked up in his time with the rangers in the spring of ‘36. All of Leto’s half-hearted attempts to domesticate - as Gurney often phrased it - his right-hand man have been mostly unsuccessful, and Paul supposes that they’ll be able to use a bit of that lingering ferity now more than ever.
