21st Century Literature which is written by the contemporary authors all around the world, may deal with current themes and issues, and reflects a technological culture. The modern literature often breaks traditional writing rules that were first introduced by the past forms of literature. Doodle Fiction, Manga and Graphic Novels are just examples of genres that belong to the 21st Century Literature, that is associated with various works and words that portrays messages and emotions to the readers. The three aforementioned literary genres have similarities, and also differences in terms of its elements and structures.

Doodle Fiction is a literary genre that incorporates handwritten graphics in telling the story. It enhances the story by adding humorous elements, and it uses handwritten graphics making it more enjoyable for the readers. Mangas, which is probably the most famous among the teenagers, uses a comic book format in panels that are read from right to left. Manga also has an artistic and storytelling style. This literary genre is periodically published in Japan. Lastly, the Graphic Novel also uses a comic book format in panels that are read from left to right. It is one of the literary genres that uses narratives and is also filled with colors to have more visual impacts for the readers.

These literary genres have their own ways on sharing their works to the readers. The graphics, illustrations, and drawings that are used helps the readers visualize more the stories. By being this creative, the writers' or authors' imaginations will be brought to life, clashing fantasy and the reality.
