I saw a fleeting glimpse of a post about fancasting the rat grinders but tumblr refreshed and the post disappeared but I made my fancast anyway

Kipperlily - Vic Michaelis. Would bring the same rancid vibes (complimentary) to the role as they have to the role of Vic Michaelis on VIP.

Ruben - Zach Reino. Does Zach even play D&D? Regardless, their ability to bring little bitch boy energy in PIBE make them perfect for this role. Plus imagine the terrible emo songs Zach would make up. (Alternatively: Brian David Gilbert, who would lean into the unhinged chasing after Wanda Childa energy more.)

Ivy - Izzy Roland. No one does socially intimidating better than Izzy.

Oisin - Jake Hurwitz. I may have a soft spot for Oisin. But I think Jake would bring a "just a good guy" energy that would add layers of complexity to the character. Bonus: it would be hilarious for Jake "how many times can I get away with playing a fighter" Hurwitz to play a wizard.

Mary Ann - Rekha Shankar. Socially intimidating but in a different way to Ivy/Izzy, Rekha's Mary Ann would be sooo frustrating and absolutely make Gorgug fly into a rage.

Buddy - Caldwell Tanner. In many ways Buddy is just Beverley Toegold V with more religious trauma and less touching of hands.

Lucy - Surena Marie. Sweet on the outside but with a solid, steely, unshakeable core, and impossible to dislike. Also I just want more Surena.

If I had a nickel for every time a cleric of Helio died, met Helio, and then starting worshipping a dead deity instead I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's hilarious that it's happened twice

it's just really funny to me to imagine Fabian actually being a great big brother honorable nemesis.

like, putting a nemesis ward on the nursery with aelwyn's help since "it won't do if they die before their eighteenth birthday, will it?" (aelwyn, deeply sarcastic: "well of course, that is exactly why I put the ward on adaine's room." fabian, too deep in denial for sarcasm: "see? you get it")

gifting them a battle sheet baby blanket since they should start preparing for their battle early on (and yes it's extra fluffy, it's for a baby stop laughing everybody)

generally trying to teach them everything he knows "so their battle to the death will be a fair one"

giving their adventuring party the same lecture on tactics that the bad kids got from his papa

hunting down chungledown bim and any other nemesis so his sibling is the only one who could get a piece of his fund (he just wants it to stay in the family, shut up)

just. fabian being an amazing big brother but also if you call him that to his face he will cut you

At first Fabian refuses to interact with his and Fig’s new sibling but one day his mom is dealing with something in the other room and the baby is crying and so Fabian has to pick up the baby. So he picks up the baby, bouncing them gently, and says, “One day, eighteen years from now, I will fight you to the death.” Then the baby reaches up and curls their little hand around his finger and Fabian’s voice breaks, utterly in love with this tiny person, and says, “I will defeat you,” unconvincingly.

Kristen meeting up with her parents in Krom's Diner is funny to me because it conjures the image of Sandra Lynn, Jawbone, and Lydia watching through a Mordred window with binoculars making sure that nothing bad happens

Bobby Dawn works in a place with at least four (an argument could be made for five) people who would kill him for what he did to Sandra Lynn that man is NOT safe

Sometimes a family is a werewolf, his niece, his adopted daughter, his girlfriend, his girlfriend's daughter, his girlfriend's daughter's friend who just moved in one day (who is the ex of his niece), the kid his girlfriend's daughter (and his adopted daughter, and his girlfriend's daughter's friend) killed once, that kid's mom, the demon who lives inside the kid's mom, the resident ghost, the resident ghost's ghost rat, the werewolf's girlfriend's daughter's girlfriend (but only through a magic portal door), his adopted daughter's no-longer-evil sister, said sister's fifteen cats, and a frog.
