coping w/ chronic illness is a pain in the ass

like you mean to tell me the rest of life im gonna be on and off medications which may or may help , may or may not make everything worse

and i got no exception in my regular life , i have to do everything that other people do with no modifications to make it easier for me despite the fact that im sick and in pain all day and all night

please i just need one sorta cheesy but well done medieval themed animated tv show about some poor medieval peasants shitty little life

but make all the little details historically accurate

w/ funny little clips to characters actually speaking in old english

and a characters from all of the different classes of society

recently got my hands on a pretty damaged 100+ year old book ( 1907 ) which suffered from some water damage and general age issues . the binding is completely separate from the text block , the 1st signature is completely separate from the text block and the last signature is about to separate as well . however the cover is fully intact , and the text block is holding up strong , especially within the middle of the text .

im debating on getting it repaired bc i want to keep it authentic

i have made a book sleeve for the poor thing while it awaits it's fate

i really wanna read it in length but without a proper book stand ive been hesitant 😮‍💨

should i get this baby repaired ? reattach the signatures , do a full revamp ? or should i keep it in its current condition considering that pages are still in VERY good quality

don't know why i have 2 accounts that are pretty much the same thing . might just merge them ? or idk

but i talk ab knights , chivalry , medieval literature , zelda , and my life ( kinda a miserable endeavor )

I AM SO SICK of medieval period tv being framed as dull , grey , brown , and colorless . it was such a whimsey colorful world , one that would have been so jarring to us with our modern sense of how to use color , WHY DONT THEY JUST EMBRACE IT ! thematic elements story ideas , everything could be enhanced and far more interesting if the utilized color

this idea that the medieval period was drab and lifeless is so overdone and now it's just saddening bc it has become a general ignorant assumption that that was the way it was , when it was far in different in a variety of contexts

i feel like im forever unchanging , stuck in a past which leaves me empty while i watch everyone around me grow and change . i like watching everyone grow , it makes me smile and feel a bit teary w/ a soft pride , but i wish i could see those changes in myself . it feels jealous and selfish to wish to see myself looking my proper age , visibly changed and swept by life but oh well yk .

hopefully it will come soon and one day ill be struck by my reflection in the mirror and feel the same pride and happiness at my aging . and i guess i can't wait to cry with that joy and gentle sadness at my change
