The most frustrating part about writing vore (for me at least) is that I never know how to transition into the actual eating-people thing. Why would this character think eating another person whole and alive would be the best course of action? Idk! Don't think about it too hard! Please!
#💮sora/satou's bullshit#💮vore stuff#*BANGS MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL*#So true prev#As some may know I'm an absolute sucker for the accidental/unaware vore trope#but even that gets hard#because like#there's only so many ways a guy gets in another guy without the other guy intending to/knowing#so like aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

most annoying thing is when you get a kudo on a weird fic (like vore) and you click the name of the person who left it and there's nothing to their name suggesting they're into this. so like. why. why'd you read this what compelled you. and more importantly WHY THE KUDO. maybe I'm just being ungrateful but I don't like it when I can't make sense of a kudo.

Kokichi was a little... Woozy. The last thing he remembered was a bright light that hurt his eyes. His head hurt- everything was a little sore, but his head most of all. He was sitting against a cold surface, and that was pretty much all he could tell about his surroundings, because his vision was rather blurry. He thought he could make out a few shapes that resembled a person, and heard someone giggling, but things weren't clear enough to tell.
Once his vision cleared up a bit, he could more clearly tell who was above him. It was Kiibo, kneeling down with a finger to his mouth. He was smiling, but it wasn't the type of smile you would normally see spread across Kiibo's lips. It was a sort of cruel, twisted smirk, conveying a sense that he had some ulterior motive to coming here, which Kokichi couldn't quite decipher, but it was certainly there. That wasn't helped by the look in his cyan eyes- the unusually happy squint, that slight glint in an otherwise dark expression. Kokichi would know better than anyone that the look on Kiibo's face right now meant bad news.
Kokichi was scared, but he tried not to let that show as he helped himself up- which made him realize something. The thing he was sitting against was a table leg, and the table was huge compared to him. Dammit, he'd been shrunk again. That troublesome shrink ray of Miu's always managed to get the better of him, shrinking him from 156 centimeters (which wasn't a lot, but he made do!) to a mere 7.2. The fact that Kiibo's new model was a good 5 to 10 centimeters taller than the old one certainly didn't help right now, either.
"What do you want?" he hissed, hoping it would help to hide the fear he felt.
"Oh, don't be so harsh about it!" Kiibo said, in a tone that, like all other stuff about him right now, just didn't feel right. "I only wish to play a game of hide and seek~" That cruel smirk was replaced by a wide-eyed grin, with a cheerfulness that seemed both truthful and falsified at once. It was sickening. Also, was it just Kokichi, or did those canines seem abnormally sharp?
"...fine, I'll play," he muttered, exciting the blancette. And with that, he ran off to go hide. God, he hoped this would get Kiibo off his tail, but who could tell for sure? All he could really do was hope...
-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-
"...48, 49, 50. Ok, ready or not, here I come ~"
Kiibo got up and started to search. Classes were over, and everyone was off doing their own thing, so he was pretty much alone, free to roam the hallways as he searched for Kokichi. He saw Miu walking past on the way to her lab, but a simple wave was all he gave before continuing his search. This was going to be an exciting catch...
Eventually, he found his way to the library, where Shuichi and Kiyo seemed to be talking. He had to evade those two, but especially Kiyo, as he didn't want to be seen getting his catch. Shuichi had... experiences with that new thing he'd gotten this new model for, so perhaps it wouldn't bother him as much, but it was thus far a secret between the two of them and Miu. He wasn't ready to fully reveal that secret just yet.
As he was contemplating this, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. It was Kokichi, just barely seen as he ran behind a chair. Kiibo smirked a little and walked up to this chair. Behind it, sure enough, was Kokichi, huddled between two books.
Kiibo moved a book out of the way and picked up Kokichi by the back of his scarf. The shrunken boy screamed an obscenity before giggling a bit. "Well, looks like you caught me, Kiiboy!" he chirped. "Now are you gonna let me go?" Even though Kokichi did his best to hide it, Kiibo could sense the fear in his voice, and maybe he found it a little bit enjoyable. Was that a bit psychopathic of him? He didn't know, but oh well.
Kiibo licked his lips, feeling the synthetic saliva already starting to form. "Not just yet," he said in a low voice. "See, you've been... Pretty mean, so I'm going to house you in my storage unit for a little while~" Kokichi's eyes went wide as the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach started to intensify. Something told him he was in trouble- and bigger trouble than he'd originally thought.
Kiibo lifted Kokichi above his head, his maw wide open. He nipped at Kokichi's feet, causing the shrunken boy to shriek in fright. Oh, that was delicious. Just what he wanted. He wanted to give Kokichi a good dose of payback for all the bullying he'd subjected him to, and what better way than to scare him out of his wits and trap him using a new function?
Kokichi flailed around, trying to get out of Kiibo's grasp. That look in his eyes as he lowered him down, nipping every so often, was just wrong, wrong. It was a sadistic look that craved his fear. It was excitement for whatever was about to be done which just couldn't be hampered. It was hunger for payback, for his punishment.
Hunger. Why did that one word stick more than any other...?
Kokichi didn't have much time to think about that, as he was soon unceremoniously dropped into Kiibo's mouth and quickly pinned to the roof. How rude!- and, unexpectedly, it was rather moist in there. It was gross, and uncomfortable, and scary, and he hated it. He kicked and screamed, trying desperately to get free, but it didn't seem to be working.
Kiibo tasted Kokichi somewhat roughly, sloshing him around his mouth, with the occasional nibble. Ah, his taste was so delectable- and his fear made it all the better. His mouth watered more and more by the minute, and he giggled a bit as drool started to drip out. He was enjoying every second of this.
After a few minutes, Kiibo tipped his head back, letting Kokichi slide back in his mouth. Kokichi's breath hitched in his throat, panicking even more than he already had been. He scrabbled to try and get out, but to no avail as he found himself at the back of Kiibo's throat, his legs being gently tugged on.
Suddenly, Kiibo parted his jaws, just a little but enough to see a glimpse of the outside. Kokichi stretched his arm out to the light from the gap in Kiibo's lips, but it was fleeting. His mouth shut quickly, and Kokichi was pulled back and swallowed.
Rendered helpless, all Kokichi could do was watch as he was pulled down by the powerful mechanisms of Kiibo's throat. There wasn't really much he could do right now. At this stage, he wasn't likely to be discovered even if he called for help. As hard as it was to admit it... He was scared. Very scared. He knew where this was going, as dreadful as that was.
The tunnel came to an end soon enough, and Kokichi was squeezed through the small opening, tumbling onto a gel-like substance. After taking a moment to catch his breath, he looked over his surroundings. The rippling walls that encapsulated him felt cool and moist to the touch, and squished under his hand. A small pool of what he could only assume was the same substance he was currently soaked in had collected at the bottom of the space. Really, it didn't take rocket science to figure out that this was the 'storage unit' Kiibo had been talking about earlier, emulating a stomach with almost creepy accuracy.
Well, first and foremost.
"HEY! What the hell was that for!? Let me OUT of here!"
He ran over to one of the walls and started beating on it. Perhaps that wasn't the best idea, as he soon found himself tumbling again as the space around him moved suddenly. He thought he could hear Kiibo whisper an obscenity, hissing quietly. Damn, didn't think his belly would be that sensitive...
"Oi, cut that out," Kiibo hissed, clutching his pained belly. "You're not going to be let out for a while anyway, so don't bother trying to force your way out." To be honest, he wasn't expecting this. Shuichi hadn't messed with him when he ate him, so Kiibo didn't know about the high sensitivity of his insides. Who even turned it up that high, anyway?
Kokichi sighed defeatedly, falling onto his back as Kiibo got back to a proper standing position. There was really no way to get out on his own, huh? He was trapped inside Kiibo's body. Right where he wanted him. It was awful, but it couldn't be helped. The most he could really do was not mess with him. Feeling the space around him bobbing with Kiibo's movements, he closed his eyes to try and get some rest.
-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-×-
Kiibo walked through the hallways, one hand on his stomach, satisfied with his catch. With how mischievous Kokichi was, only time would tell if he'd leak the secret, but he didn't have to worry about that right now. Right now, he was content with Kokichi in his tummy and being surprisingly nice so far.
Just then, he was stopped by a hand on his shoulder. He looked behind him, seeing that the hand was Miu's, and she looked worried and annoyed at the same time. "What is it, Miu?" he asked, as he turned around fully. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good, exactly.
"Well, I looked in my lab, and I noticed I'd left that finicky fuckin' shrink ray out again," Miu started. "I saw you walkin' out of my lab, so you've gotta have known that, but you didn't tell me off. What gives?" Ah. That. Well, he was planning to tell her one way or another, so...
"I was distracted, but... That was actually good, this time," Kiibo said, placing a hand on Miu's shoulder. "Thanks to that-" -he giggled, gesturing to his stomach- "-I was able to catch that lying brat, and well, let's just say he'll be hidden for quite a while~"
Miu caught on immediately. "Oh, you didn't."
"I most definitely did~"
Miu sighed and shook her head. "Well, nothing to be done about it. Your decision, after all. Above all else-" -her voice dipped down in volume at this point, as if she didn't want anyone else to hear- "it's good that it's Cock-ichi that shrunk and got gobbled up. Nobody really likes that bastard."
"I don't like him either, but can you please stop with the vile nicknames for once in your life?"
Miu didn't say too much, brushing her strawberry blonde hair behind her ear. "I... Think we've chatted enough for now," she said, her voice returned to its regular volume. "See ya later." Ah, classic Miu. Never wanting to answer any question involving her vile language.
But he was satisfied, either way. Kokichi was tucked away, and wasn't going to be set free for a good while...

((Fuckin. Pred Kiibo is back let's go.))
"...are you sure you're ready to know these sorts of secrets about my body?"
"Yes, I'm sure, Kiibo," Kaede reassured, placing a hand on Kiibo's belly. She had asked why it was aquamarine-colored and felt so different than the rest of his body earlier that day, but Kiibo said that it wasn't something he could say out loud. However, he told her would show her why later, at night, in the privacy of his own room.
Well, that time had come now, and they were kneeled down facing each other on his bed. Kaede was ready and waiting for the secret to be revealed. Although hesitant, Kiibo cupped Kaede's face and brought her closer to him. He gave her a soft lick to the cheek, to prepare them both for what was to come.
His jaws unhinged, and he brought Kaede's head inside. Her taste was sweet, and synthetic saliva soon began to form, letting him begin to swallow. This was his first time swallowing a full-size human being, and it was pretty difficult. With time he knew it would get easier, but right now he was quite new to the whole 'vore' thing.
Her chest was probably the hardest part to swallow, but he managed it eventually. As he continued to devour Kaede, he noticed she had already begun to enter his stomach. No going back now...
He leaned back and flung his head back to allow gravity to assist in Kaede's descent. Her thighs entered his throat without much struggle, and the rest of her legs followed suit. As her feet slipped past his lips, he closed his mouth behind her. A final gulp sent her down, and he sighed, letting his inner mechanisms do the rest of the work to bring her into his core.
Kiibo sighed, running his hands over his rounded belly. Kaede's faint silhouette could be seen within, and he could feel her squirming a little inside him. He felt full and warm, and she had tasted so good... Still, he was a little worried. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked, poking his tummy ever-so-slightly.
Kaede shifted a bit within Kiibo, trying to find a comfortable position. "I'm okay, just a little cramped," she responded. "I can't complain, though, since I technically agreed to this." She eventually settled on curling up in the fetal position, legs tucked in close to her.
"Don't say that sort of thing! If you're uncomfortable in there, I can-"
"No, really, it's okay," she said. "I can wait until the morning to be let out." She could tell Kiibo was anxious about this, and wondered how to help him. Slowly, her hand made its way to the soft, gel-like stomach wall, and began to rub across it. She heard predators liked this, so why not?
Kiibo had... Something to say. But then he felt some sensation inside his belly. It felt like being petted, but from the inside, and even more euphoria-enducing. He began to purr, rubbing his stomach. It felt really nice, really relaxing... He felt himself slowly drifting off, feeling relaxed and happy.
"Goodnight, Kiibo. Have a good rest," Kaede whispered, smiling as she patted a spot beneath her. And with that, Kiibo entered sleep mode, feeling cozy and warm inside. He was glad he tried this for the first time, and he was glad it was Kaede he tried it with.

(A fic originally intended to get the Within Us out-)
[Kokichi's POV]
There are two impostors among us...
Another Saturday, another chance to play Among Us in the Neo World. My eyes scanning through everyone's positions on the map, I sighed. Between the vertigo on the airship, all the tasks I had to do, and the looming threat of the impostors, my mind was too crowded on these days to think about much else. Still, I was determined to catch whoever was causing trouble this time. With Shuichi and Rantaro already gone, I couldn't hesitate.
Where could I get the most alone time to think about this... Dammit, Electrical!? Nobody goes into Electrical without a task to prompt them, and for good reason! You can easily get cornered and killed, and it's a fucking maze on this map! I nearly threw my handbook onto the floor in frustration, but I restrained myself and instead checked my task list to try and compose myself. Turned out I had a task in Electrical, so... ugh, let's just get this over with.
I stepped into one of the several isolated rooms, anxiety growing with every step I took. That certainly didn't help the vertigo... I took a deep breath to calm my nerves as I approached the panel. I just had to divert the power. Shouldn't be too hard, right...?
As I was trying to find the right switch, I felt a strong grip on my wrist, and I tensed up all over again. The loud electric crackle of a sabotage filled my ears, and the next thing I knew, both the lights and my tracking bracelet were completely fritzed out. And then, as if the vertigo I was feeling wasn't bad enough, I felt myself slowly shrinking down to size. This was bad, this was bad! As soon as everything started happening, I knew an impostor had come to get me. 2 inches tall, I was so vulnerable I could've passed out from the overwhelming anxiety.
I was lifted by my scarf to be eye-level with the impostor. It was way too dark to see their face through their visor, but the cyan color of their suit gave them away as none other than Kiibo. Taking off his helmet to reveal his face, he let out a sigh as he lifted me above his head. He opened his maw to reveal razor-sharp canines and a glowing forked tongue. I barely had time to register anything before I was dropped in and pinned to the inside of his cheek.
"Shh... It's alright... I won't hurt you..." he muttered through his limited speech. What was he saying...? He comes for me as an impostor and dares to say he won't hurt me? None of it made sense... Just when I thought I was free, I felt myself slipping back into some tunnel. I gasped, scrabbling for something to grab onto, but no luck. I felt my legs being tugged at, and near-immediately, a thick gulp sent me down.
[Kiibo's POV]
I sighed in exasperation. I always hated Electrical on the Airship, that maze of a room, but getting my second catch of the game certainly didn't hurt. I had to admit, Kokichi did feel nice, squirming on the way down. Really, I didn't want to employ that function in the game, but with the potential guilt surrounding actually killing anyone, I just had to.
I placed a hand on my midsection as I felt Kokichi enter. He was screaming something that I couldn't quite make out, and he was DEFINITELY mad at me. I put my helmet back on so I wouldn't appear suspicious and started to head out.
Soon, I saw Tsumugi crawl out from a vent in the kitchen, staring me dead in the eye. "Second kill," she whispered. "You get anything done?" I nodded and traced a finger down my neck to silently communicate that I'd scored my second catch. She nodded back excitedly. "So, who did you... You know?"
"Kokichi. I cornered him in Electrical."
"Wow, good job!" she said, giving me a thumbs up. Suddenly, the emergency meeting alarm sounded. We both sighed, softly, and she grabbed me by the wrist (don't ask me why) as we walked to the meeting room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I watched as the others argued over the impostors' identities, having all but tuned it out by now. They were just getting nowhere with this, and while that was good for me and Tsumugi, it was annoying and boring. I felt a rising sense of dread, but I tried to ignore it, hoping someone incorrect would be voted off.
Suddenly, static filled our handbook screens, and that static was quickly replaced by Shuichi's face. At that moment, it was like my body froze over. Shuichi's handbook managed to get back on. And he was video-calling us all from inside of my stomach. Oh no.
"Is it working? Is everyone hearing me okay?"
"Gimme that! I need to have a word with Kiiboy!"
"No! You'll just mess things up for everyone!" Shuichi shouted at Kokichi, and the dread I was trying to ignore began to bubble up to the surface. How did this happen? I suppose a loophole in the rules might have allowed Shuichi's tracking bracelet to come back on and connect, even while he was inside of me, but it was still terrifying.
"Guys, Kiibo is an impostor," he continued. "He ate both me and Kokichi. I'm calling from inside his stomach right now..." I placed my handbook on the table, curling in on myself as I wrapped my arms around my middle. I could feel everyone staring at me with a disapproving glare.
Votes were cast. I was out.
[3rd person POV]
"Alright, Kiibo, the jig's up. Let those two out!"
"No, screw you!" Kiibo hissed at Kaito, who had just locked him in the Brig. "I broke the tracking bracelets before I swallowed those two. They are out of this round, and if you disagree, you can rip it out of my cold, metallic hands!" Kaito simply walked away, unable to argue, and Kiibo sat down.
He pulled out his handbook and sighed. "So how did your tracking bracelet even come back on after I ate you?" he asked Shuichi, placing a hand on his stomach. He felt a little mad, since the tracking bracelet coming back on when it wasn't supposed to was what allowed him to get ratted out as an impostor.
"Well, I think it's because since we aren't technically dead in here, my tracking bracelet came on after some time," Shuichi said, holding up his hand to show said tracking bracelet. That was reasonable; if a tracking bracelet's owner wasn't killed within two minutes of it being broken, it would come back online again. Kiibo knew it all along, but the loophole was still frustrating.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his belly, making him curl in on himself. "Kokichi! Stop that!" he heard Shuichi shout, sounding really angry. Ah. As expected. Kokichi tended to do that whenever Kiibo ate him. That boy just hated getting eaten, and wanted out as soon as possible.
"Sorry, Kokichi, but you'll just have to deal with being in my stomach for now," Kiibo sighed, leaning back. "It might be a while before the game is done..." Kokichi huffed, and he felt another kick to the stomach walls. These were going to be some long minutes...
After that game, a new rule was instated that if someone was eaten by an impostor instead of killed off proper, they weren't allowed to use their handbook for the rest of that game.
((A quick little splatvore thing.))
"MitsuROOOO! Let go of me!"
"No! That Fuzzy Ooze is dangerous! You're gonna get yourself seriously hurt, if not KILLED!"
"Please!? Gimme just one chance to satisfy that burnin' curiosity inside me!"
"I said NO!" Mitsuro shouted, standing their ground. This had been going on for about half an hour now, and she'd just about had enough of it. Shiromi was a bit of a reckless character, but they didn't think she'd be THIS reckless- going so far as to try to touch the ooze even when explicitly warned of the danger!
The captain said that scruffing Shiromi by the hood was the best method of keeping her reckless behavior under control, and yet she managed to wiggle out of their grip every time. Knowing this, Mitsuro tightened her grip further, not wanting another escape. "For the last time...!" Shiromi didn't say much else before turning into a squid, slipping away in a flash of yellow ink.
"Oh no, you don't," they snarled, wrapping their hands around the small squid. As she brought her up to her face to look her right in the eyes, she felt something... Indescribable. A hunger that they felt couldn't be satisfied by just anything. An instinct that echoed from deep within.
An instinct telling her to eat Shiromi.
Mitsuro tried to drive the thought out of their mind. Ridiculous thoughts! Ridiculous thoughts! There was no way she could actually do it! But the longer they wordlessly stared into Shiromi's eyes, the more tempting the thought felt. It nagged at the back of her mind and refused to let go.
Finally, they decided to humor those intrusive thoughts of theirs. They opened their mouth wide and began to take Shiromi inside. She tasted surprisingly good, like a spicy and sweet flavor. Before either party realized, Mitsuro had already begun to swallow. Her stomach rumbled in anticipation, waiting for what was to come next.
Finally, the last few tentacles left their mouth, and their inner workings could do the work from here. The little squid felt so good going down. She cupped her chest as she descended down her throat, enjoying every second of it. Finally, their prey was released into their belly, which growled in satisfaction when it happened.
For a moment, all Mitsuro could do was stare at their midsection with shock and awe. She'd actually done it- she'd actually eaten Shiromi. They rested a hand on their stomach, feeling it jutting out because of the squirming squid inside of them. She felt full, and strangely good. Like a part of her wanted to do this all along. And it was perfect- they had Shiromi contained. She couldn't do anything lethally stupid from in there!
Shiromi, of course, was none too pleased about the whole thing. She squirmed around, struggling against the tight confines of Mitsuro's stomach. "Let me out!" they screamed. "Let me OUT, you idiot!" Occasionally, she might take dips in the ink in there, since both of them currently had yellow ink, but then it was right back to squirming.
"Sorry, but I have no intention of being slowed down because of your stupidity," Mitsuro explained, trying to remain as calm as possible while brandishing their Hero Shot so they'd be ready to fire at the Fuzzy Octarians. "I'll let you out when I'm done here." Shiromi sulked, crossing her tentacles. At least they'd be let out relatively soon.
((Bonus under the cut!))
Mitsuro clutched their belly, trying to conceal the bulge made by Shiromi resting inside. At least it would only be a minute before she could let her out. Only a few more steps back to camp, and they could-
"Ah, Neo. You're back."
"A-ah! Captain..."
Suddenly, they were met with the captain staring them in the face, and they instinctively curled away from the startling that gave them.. "Good to see you're still in one piece," the captain said. "But where's 4? Didn't she go with you?"
At those words, Mitsuro froze. They couldn't tell the captain that they ate Shiromi- they just couldn't! She stammered a bit, trying to come up with a convincing lie. "Neo, don't lie to me," they sternly snarled, and now Mitsuro was completely at a loss for words. What COULD they tell the captain now?
In their nervous panic, Mitsuro fell backwards- and trying to recover left their stomach fully visible. Maren could see that it was a bit bigger than when she left- and moving, for some reason. They were able to connect the dots pretty quickly. "Let me guess," they sighed. "Agent 4's in your stomach, isn't she?"
"I- well- um- that's- I- well, that's- uuuuum... yes..."
"Called it," they said, eliciting a very embarrased and worried reaction from Mitsuro. But the captain simply kneeled down and assured them, "Hey, I'm not mad. Heck, I eat Hachi a lot myself. Just... Please spit them up before the next mission, okay?"
"Okay, thank you, got it, bye!" Mitsuro shouted in a flustered panic, scrambling to their feet. At least she was still on decent terms with the captain, but the whole encounter still thoroughly embarrassed her. She ran to the cabin, clutching their tummy, hoping Shiromi wouldn't be too mad...
I sense a new member of the agent food chain. Tell us about em
Pfft agent food chain lol. But yes there is a new guy in town!
He’s very unusual compared to everyone else. While everyone is either some kind of cephalopod or fish, Age/nt 3.2 (or as he is know, Usagi) is a Rabbit/ling. The first “successful” experiment by Gr/izz to bring back mammals. Usagi is based off of the original idea of Splat/oon of all the main characters being rabbits.
Basically Gr/izz wanted to start making prey mammals to eat for his uprising army so he created Rabbit/lings. An attempt to make Alt/erna (and soon the world) feel more like the human era. Usagi has a lot wrong with his health and everything due to Gr/izz cutting corners to make a perfect specimen.
He can walk but sometimes has flairs of pain that make it impossible to walk at times. He also gets sick very easily. Foreign sicknesses due to new world diseases have very hard impacts on him. Has a cane but also a wheelchair.
Kamo is his best friend. Being Age/nt 3.1 they take it upon themselves to protect and help Usagi. Even if that includes having him as a small meal to help him out.
He always wears a mask due to getting easily sick. Doesn’t stop him from going out in the city and exploring. Especially if he wants to do ink battles. Always does them with the other agents. Sometimes just with Kamo.
This all I have so far but this guy is now available to have asks about! Please send some more in for any of my ocs!
hnng... agent 24...
"Hachi! What the shell were you thinking!?"
"Look, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
Maren held Hachi up by the collar of her shirt. The octoling girl had recently run straight into danger to protect the unaware captain, scaring them out of their wits. "Hachi, you are 19 years old now," they hissed at her. "You're getting too old for this sort of recklessness, and besides, you know I can handle myself!"
"You had your back turned, Maren! I couldn't just stand there and let you get hurt!"
"You know, when you two bicker like that, it kinda makes you sound like an old married-"
"SH-SHUT UP, Callie..." Maren interrupted, their face flushed in a warm orange with embarrassment. Marie simply giggled at that, and they turned their face away not wanting to see it. They needed to find some way to shelter Hachi and restrain their reckless behavior. But how?
Suddenly, their stomach growled, and an idea popped into their head. Not exactly the most orthodox idea, but an idea nonetheless. "Callie, Marie, can you please leave the room for a moment?" they asked. "Hachi and I have some... Private matters to discuss."
Callie tilted her head at that. Marie simply grabbed her wrist and led her out, not wanting to intrude on whatever the captain and 8 were doing. And with that, the two were left alone.
Maren set Hachi down on a mattress, giving her more room to breathe. Shortly after, they sat down themself and let out a sigh. "Look, Hachi... I'm sorry for blowing up in your face like that," they said. "It's just... You know, I like you, a lot. And I can't stand the thought of you getting hurt, especially because I was stupid."
"Well, feeling's mutual, Maren!" Hachi worriedly blurted. "If I didn't act, you were almost certainly gonna get hurt!" She didn't quite see Maren's expression at that moment, since they quickly turned away. However, it looked like they were contemplating something, one hand on their chin and another hovering above their torso.
"...hey, Hachi," they asked, "do you think that you could let me..." Unable to form any more words, they opened their mouth wide and pointed into it. She didn't know exactly what that meant, so she just tilted her head in confusion.
"...Ah, go figure, one of the most innocent Octolings I know..." the captain muttered, though they didn't finish that sentence. "Well, I'd like you to shift into your octopus form, please."
"But why?"
"Now, please."
"I just-"
"Captain's orders."
Unable to argue, she simply laid down and shifted into octopus form. Maren was harsh on the outside, but she knew that under that cold, stoic exterior was a truly caring captain. They lifted her, up to their face. "If it's scary, just close your eyes," they said. "This will only take a moment."
They opened their mouth wide, and, somewhat frightened, Hachi shut her eyes. The next couple moments were a bit of a blur. She felt wetness for a bit, then heard a loud gulp. A tight space squeezed her, and she felt some pressure from outside too. And then finally, she was released, and she heard a squish noise as she landed.
"Okay, you can open your eyes now," the captain's voice called, reverberating as if it were all around her. So she opened her eyes, to see rippling walls with a soft orange glow, and to find out that she was sitting in a small pool of orange ink. The same exact orange of the captain's ink.
"Wait, is this...?" she thought. She'd read books on cephalopod biology. "Oh, don't tell me..."
"Hey, sorry for just... eating you like that," they muttered, confirming her suspicions. "Really, all I wanted was to protect you..." Hachi thought about that. Maren wouldn't willingly digest her, and even if they digested her by accident, she was connected to a nearby spawn point, so she'd be easily revived.
Hachi decided she'd be willing to go along with this.. "I'm okay with staying here," she said, "but warn me properly next time, okay?" The captain's stomach let out a few satisfied gurgles while the walls gave her a gentle squeeze. Like a hug that surrounded her completely.
"Well, I would have freaked you out if I did," they muttered, "and besides, I was embarrassed about saying it out loud." Hachi giggled. That was really cute. In both senses of the phrase, Maren was quite soft on the inside. So gentle... She felt a little sleepy, so she cuddled into the walls and settled down.
Maren rubbed their stomach gently. Something about Hachi's acceptance of the situation made them feel... Warm inside. The fact that she trusted them with every part of herself... They couldn't help but feel a bit fluffy. It had been a long day, so they decided to settle down and rest...
