LEO WINCED when his friend suddenly stood himself up, then proceeded to tip over again the brick wall. The hybrid raised himself to catch the prince but before he could touch the boy, Sora fled—Spinning around, Leo gasped.

 “SORA! Wait a second, don’t just—”

The hybrid raced out to follow the prince then paused to take in the city lights—

 “Whoa…H- Hey, Sora! Stop! Just—ugh!” Leo chased after his friend once again. Sightseeing would have to wait.

He didn’t stop. He ran all the way out of the alley, and nearly tripped right into a barrel as he made his way to... 

Well it looked like a square of some sort. 

It was... Nothing like his home. Everything was... Calm. Peaceful. The shops were strange, there weren’t many trees to note... There were still walls, judging by the less than subtle gate at the town’s entrance, so that was disappointing, but otherwise... This was new. This was different, this was unlike anything the prince had ever seen.

... This was free.

Although... He didn’t seem very happy right now. He looked almost... Terrified, “... We’re not on the islands... We’re... How did we... Get here..?” Oh goodness, Princey may be freaking out just a little, “H-how did-- what happened to everyone..? My sisters, the people... I-I wanted to leave I didn’t... Didn’t want the land destroyed...”

Leo dipped his head, letting out a silent breath of relief. The prince was fine… Silently, he took a seat beside the brunet and leaned his head against the brick wall behind them—then his eyes went wide at the realization, sitting up and gaping at the Prince.

 “What?!”

Dang, it was true! A hand raised to cover his gaping mouth in shock.

 “How’d we get here then?! And where… where is ‘here’?”

A small surge of panic ripped through the prince. He remembered seeing the islands being ripped to shreds, fighting a giant monster with a... A very strange weapon-- 

He flinched, then suddenly moved to stand. He immediately regretted this decision, however, as dizziness washed over him. He fell back to lean against the wall for just a moment, then quickly dashed off to the end of the alleyway they’d woken up in.

Leo let out a silent breath he didn’t know he was holding— relief flowing through him as Sora reacted. It would’ve sucked to be stuck in a dark place like this alone…

Straightening his posture, sitting on his knees, the hybrid glanced around, brows furrowing again. He couldn’t quite shake that quivering feeling of apprehension and NERVOUSNESS from gripping his heart— the scenery around them was not at all familiar but being somewhere unknown and so dark… Leo wrapped his arms around himself, hunching his back a bit as a cautious and anxious expression fell on his face. The hybrid shook his head.

 “I… I don’t know… Are- Are you okay? What happened?”

“I-- I think I am fine... My head hurts, but I am otherwise uninjured...”

He glanced around. As to what happened, he couldn’t really... Place it. His mind was still foggy with fatigue... He felt as though something rather important had occurred, however... He saw his retainers, and his sisters, giving him some sort of send off... The smaller island...  And a...

A storm.

“I... W-wait-- the storm..!! There was a storm, wasn’t there?! And we... Weren’t we in the middle of... Leaving the islands..?”

A small groan sounded from the prince-- perhaps former should apply here --as he was jostled. He was so tired... He didn’t wanna wake up... “Nnh... Five more minutes, Leo...” Weariness was clouding his memory of recent events. He groaned once again as the light of the city around him battered at his vision, aiding in rousing him from sleep.

He blinked his eyes open-- gosh his head was aching... --glancing to Leo. It slowly registered with him that they weren’t, in fact, within the castle walls. Nor on the island at all. What exactly had happened..?

“W-wait... W-where are we..?”

Leo woke with a jolt, a gasp gripping his lungs as the hybrid scrambled to sit up. Everything was dark— Leo blinked a few times, and his vision cleared finally. It.. It looked like a city? Glancing around, the brunet’s brows furrowed. “Sora? Sora where…” A hand raised to his forehead as the hybrid pushed himself up, stumbling somewhat as he did so. What even happened…?

Turning, he saw the prince against the wall in the alley–with a soft gasp, Leo scrambled toward his charge, tripping once but dragging himself closer. He placed a hand on the prince’s shoulder and shook him a bit, whispering, “S- Sora, wake up. Wake up!”

Official colored design for Phineas for that Rightside/Flipside fic I’m doing where Phin along with a bunch’a my favorite characters from other stuff end up in a world with two different realms, appropriately named Rightside and Flipside.
