I had the opportunity to work for Europa publishing in Toulouse in 2014, where i started working in Illustrator for the first time. I learned a lot as the medical terms are a bit complicated but it was a very nice experience seeing my work published in a high medical journal.

In andabeat, the story revolves around the monotony of life. The main character finds himself in a routine he wants to escape. In the midst of the daily structure of the eatery, he finds himself daydreaming for eternal freedom. Music video made for the diverse artist Hans Vermunt.
This project was a bit chaotic but thats always the case with music videos. I was the producer and helped with the art direction.

The NPAPH project team together with students of the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht have created two short films about the excavations at Tell es-Sultan in the 1950s. Both films are based on records gathered by Jericho off the Record.
The photos, slides, 16mm film, diaries, letters and interviews with former participants provide an insight into life at the dig. One of the films describes the experience through the eyes of staff members who mainly came from Western Europe and North America. The other film is form the perspective of local labourers who lived in Jericho or in the nearby refugee camp.
All events, views and opinions expressed in the films are based on real events and are informed by records gathered by NPAPH.
I worked on the concept and animation design on this project which was a lot of fun. We visualised the stories and added dept in the pictures in After Effects and designed the backgrounds and props in Photoshop.

Our latin script has undergone tremendous development before it became as we know it today. that stands out when you try to read old texts. In a short animation you will be taken through the history of our script in a nutshell. This animation is commissioned by  'Wat staat daer?' and made by students of the hku, University of Arts Utrecht.
I tried a lot of new things like working with TV Paint and hand drawn animation, which i learned was not really my thing. So i focussed more on the art direction and the outro. I learned  a lot about working together with other disciplines which was a challenge but we figured it out and we are very happy with the results and so is ‘Wat staat daer?’
