MFW when I’m first overall draft pick for a rebuilding team so I immediately get thrust into the spotlight.

Anyways! Orion again! These are the team’s throwback jerseys and I’ll have more lore under the cut (if I do it right). There will also be some minor blood/injury.

All of the teams I have are my own! Since I want to write with them a lot I decided to go with original content, which meant I have a lot of teams and such that aren’t fully developed, but I love love worldbuilding and character creation!

Orion Abernethy plays for the Minnesota Comets, a struggling team currently working on their rebuild. During their throwback night at home, he gets into a fight with a player on the Regina Royals, breaking his nose for the fourth time. This is his first official fight in the league!

My thoughts on Marchy and possible teams he might sign with

Florida - obviously a good fit. I feel Florida has taken that villain role from Boston and ran with it. He fits really well on this team and seems to love it. I personally still don't like a couple of the players, but I have enjoyed watching a lot of them play with him and all the fun they're having post winning their second cup. It would be nice, though, if he went to a different team that doesn't have obvious tr×mp supporters, I don't want to see another tr×mp jersey again, thanks.

The Bruins - I think it would be nice if he returned back to boston and obviously his family is there and his wife seems to have her own career going on in boston, plus his kids might want to stay in school there. It'd also be nice to see him back on the team. But I totally understand if he didn't want to come back. I think he kept taking team friendly deals and was underpaid for quite a while, even though he's still making good money. I think he wants to get paid what he's worth, and boston wasn't going to do that when he was there last. I understand if he doesn't want to go back.

The Leafs - I like some of the players on the team, and I think it'd be fun to see him play alongside them. He wouldn't be as far from Boston as South Florida is, so that's a plus. Also, although the fans can be intense, he could handle it. He's really good with the media. So I think he could do really well with the media there. He has the right kind of confidence to be able to handle a situation like that. He's also been under a lot of pressure before when he played in Boston as captain, so I think he can handle the pressure, even though it's a different thing. But still, I'm sure he's not unfamiliar with Canadian media and the leafs, considering he is Canadian. He grew up in canada, supporting the leafs himself. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a leafs Jersey. However, I do hope the fans don't treat him how they treated Marner, even if he could handle a situation like that. Also, I hope that the fans wouldn't think of him as some kind of savior coming to save them from their playoff past.

The Caps - this is a team that I've only seen mentioned once. So I i don't know if they'll go after him, but I think it'd be really cool if he was on this team. I think he'd fit in well with the likes of Tom Wilson, and it'd really be fun to see him and ovi together. Also, I think this locker room has really good vibes, and I think he'd fit in really well with the goofiness of the team and the whimsy of it all. Plus, again, it might be nice for him to be close to his family if they stay in boston or if they want to be close to boston. It's a shorter flight than from Ft. Lauderdale.

The Avs - I think it'd be a less likely option than say Toronto, but I do think it's still possible since they do have some cap space. I think they have good enough depth that he could play on the second or third line, like he is in florida, which I think he does really well on. Although it would be really cool to see him on the same line as nate or landy. I think he would like Colorado. The fans are nice, and they usually have a good chance of making it to the playoffs, Plus they have won the cup in the last few years. I think there's still hope that they have a good chance of winning next year. They're not in a sorta rebuild situation like the bruins, and the fans aren't as extreme with them like the leafs because they have won a cup in recent years and I feel like overall US teams have less fan and media pressure placed on them. The main drawback would be that he wouldn't be close to boston, and I think he wants to stay in the east.
