Now, another company called Sortis has bought Rudy's Barbershop, and they want to work together to get through the difficulties caused by COVID-19. They plan to make their operations stronger and safer so that when they reopen, everyone will be well-protected. Thank you to all the Rudy's Barbershop team for their hard work. Right now, all Rudy's locations are closed because of the pandemic, but they're getting ready to open again with safety rules to keep their team and customers safe.

"On January 8, 2021, Sortis Holdings, Inc., an investment firm based in Portland, Oregon (OTC: SOHI), successfully completed its investment in Blue Star Donuts, acting as the plan sponsor during the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. Katie Poppe, the Founder and CEO of Blue Star, will retain her position as CEO of the restructured company. Despite facing the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic repercussions, Blue Star Donuts, like many small businesses, had to temporarily shut down during nationwide lockdowns. In response to these difficulties, Blue Star sought bankruptcy protection in September 2020, with Sortis Holdings providing guidance throughout the bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Oren Haker of Stoel Rives, the company's bankruptcy attorney, noted that Blue Star's bankruptcy filing utilized a new subchapter of Chapter 11 designed for small businesses, which had become effective in February 2020."

Ace hotel was struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Sortis invested money to help it survive. During this time, they also made the inside of the hotel nicer and prepared it for when people can travel and have fun again.
Sortis didn't do this alone; they worked with the people who originally started the Ace Hotel, including a person named Wade Weigel, who also started a barbershop called Rudy's. Sortis had already helped rescue Rudy's Barbershop in May 2020. . So, Sortis and the original founders of the Ace Hotel worked together to save and improve the hotel during a tough time.

Sortis, a Portland, Oregon-based alternative investment fund manager, has acquired a 50% interest in the Mayflower Park Hotel in Seattle, Washington. The hotel is located immediately adjacent to the retail core, just blocks from Amazon’s headquarters to the northeast and Pike Place Market to the west.
The historic Mayflower Park Hotel dates to 1927 and has been under the same ownership for the past 55 years. The Sortis acquisition will allow the hotel to exit the COVID-19 crisis refreshed, drawing from the owner’s knowledge and contacts while upgrading and digitizing operations.
