“Sakura!”  It was only be some miracle that her friend’s window was already open as Tenten came barrelling through it at a speed that wasn’t usually necessary within the village walls, but then, nothing team Gai did ever stopped at necessary.  Cheeks red from exertion and forehead damp with sweat, she slipped under Sakura’s kitchen table with relative ease, tugging down the cloth that covered it further to hide her form from view.

“I am not here.  Please, not here,” she pleaded even as shouts of youth could be heard in the distance.  Of course her team was up to her usual shenanigans and she was pulling her friend into it this time.  She had no choice, Sakura’s open window being her only refuge as she ran. “Just don’t say anything.  They’ll run right by.  They can’t find me on their own.”

Tenten leaned down, looking at the strange creature she’d spotted as she exited her apartment.  She’d nearly tripped on the thing, cute as it was.  At least it looked harmless enough, though the girl wasn’t sure what kind of strange animal it was.  Maybe it was some kind of ninken or an experiment gone wrong.  “Ummm...“  She reached out a hand towards it but thought better of the action and quickly pulled it back. Maybe it bit.  “Are you lost there, little guy?”

Tazz smiled as she could sense the fondness Tenten had for her teammates. It was nice seeing just how deep a team’s connection went. At receiving the invitation, she sat down on the dock and let her legs hand over the edge as she leaned back on her hands.

She chuckled at the joke and shot a playful grin towards the other, “Sorry, I’ll try to be shorter next time.” She took a deep breath before letting it out slowly, letting her eye slip shut as she enjoyed the mild weather and lovely breeze, “The weather sure is nice today, isn’t it?”

“You know, I’m not so sure you’ll be successful at losing height,” Tenten joked.  She looked up at the sky, observing the clear day.  It was nice, if not a bit warm.  It was a good day to relax.  “It is.  After all the spring rains, it’s about time we got some sun.  We have to enjoy it while we can.  What are you doing out here?  Trying to enjoy the sun too?”

“Lee~”  Tenten leaned forward across the table, a little pout forming on her face. “Come on.  Think of it like a favor to me.  Rent’s expensive to pay all by yourself.”  It was especially expensive when she kept impulse buying the latest sharp object she spotted in shop windows but Tenten couldn’t help it.  They were all so perfect. 

“Look.”  She set an ad down, pointing at the photo on it.  “Doesn’t it look nice?  Two bedrooms and it’s right by the training grounds.  If we pool our money together, we could totally rent it.  We’ll be roommates!  It’ll be like having a team bonding activity every day.  Think about it.”

“Oh!  That’s... um, thanks?”  She leaned down, picking up the kunai that the creature had left.  “Those are really sharp.  You should be careful.”  Tenten frowned at herself.  The thing probably didn’t even understand her.  She felt ridiculous.  Maybe if she reached out and gave its head a gentle pat.
