Avalon chuckled and rolled her eyes when she heard Jett enter the shop. She stood up, wiping her hands on a rag as he found her. "And here I thought you might have a little excitement to see me. Sigh," she quipped back, shaking her head. "She's good. Everything went just fine. You know I give a little extra love to my favorites. And by that I meant the bike," she teased. "I'm not a kid, either ya know."
CLOSED — reaper / @sosxavalon
“I’m here to see my lil’ kitten” Jett said as he entered Reaper, nodding his head to a few people and making his way towards Avalon “And by that I meant my fuckin’ bike” admitted playfully, offering a smile “So how’s she? Did everythin’ go well, kid?”

Avalon found that she really enjoyed living at the clubhouse. She liked that there was always someone there from a group of people that she trusted. She'd gotten some amazing sleep since she'd been staying there. Definitely better than her car. She was hanging out on the couch with her sketchbook when Zeki plopped down next to her. She gave him a genuine smile and sat up a little.
"Hey Zek. I'm actually doing pretty well. What about you?"
Where: The Clubhouse Who: @sosxavalon
It had been a couple days after the gala and Zeki wanted to make sure that Ava was alright. She was family to him and he always looked out for family.
Finishing his shift up at the fire station, Zeki parked his bike outside, pulling his helmet off and made his way inside. It wasn't hard to find her, a pile of redhead spilled off the back of one couch. He plopped down beside her.
"How you feeling?"

Avalon chuckled and nodded. "I mean I guess that makes sense. It is a clubhouse. I'm grateful Cole is letting me stay for a bit," she replied. "Well at least there's that. Though I know old man Cole can't operate a fancy coffee maker," she added with a small laugh. She let out a sigh of relief. "At least I'm not the only one. Totally not my scene, that's for sure. Heels are the worst and I don't know how anyone wears these every day," she agreed. "Yeah I didn't really wanna completely miss out but I definitely regret the heels. Yeah entertainment is on point."
Taking her shot the second the bartender passed it over to her, Rowan relished the burn then signaled for another before turning more towards Avalon. “Feels like we’ve all kinda lived there at one point or another,” she mused aloud, chuckling softly, “At least there’s always a fresh pot of coffee there.” Shaking her hand, Rowan offered up a small smile, “Nice to meet you too.” Darting a look all around, she blew out a soft sigh, “Honestly, it’s all a bit too boujee for me. I can’t do these fucking heels,” she complained, gesturing down at her feet, “I’m usually a mess too. But I dunno, I’m trying to make it work as best I can. The Killers were good, so there’s that.”

Avalon wasn't naive enough to not thinking about the fact that it could have been a targeted attack. It wasn't exactly a secret that Avalon was friendly with the Sons. But it didn't feel like it had been that. It being traumatic felt like a her kind of thing. But she felt safe enough with Cole to tell him about it. He was a great boss and he took care of her when she let him. She gave a shrug. "Maybe. If something else happens. But I think this is mostly just me being weird about it," she admitted. She blinked up at him. "You're serious? You'd let me stay there?" she asked, her eyes strangely vulnerable. "I'd really like that," she admitted. She didn't want to say out loud that the Sons made her feel safe. Safer than her old apartment, that was for sure. "You're kind of the best boss I've ever had, C," she added. "Thanks. It means a lot."
As unnerving as it was, the idea that it could be a random break-in was somewhat comforting to Cole, oddly enough. To him, it meant someone wouldn’t be back to harm Avalon, which was all he cared about. She was his employee, which meant she fell under that Reaper shaped umbrella he liked to call family. “Want me to look into it?” He offered, shrugging gently. Cole didn’t mind, and he knew the club had the reach to find whoever was responsible, or get pretty damn close. In the meantime, he knew she deserved some peace of mind, which prompted his next question, “Why don’t ya stay at the clubhouse ‘til this gets resolved, or ya get a new place? We got a couple spare rooms we just store shit in– I can have a prospect clear one for ya.”

Avalon smiled at him and smoothed out her dress. "Thanks Nate," she said honestly. "Oh it is definitely not my kind of thing. Heels are the worst," she laughed, shaking her head. "I miss my overalls," she added playfully. "But I couldn't pass on the free food and drinks and entertainment." she grabbed a flute of some sort of alcohol. "How are you enjoying it?"

He offers a smile in Avalon’s direction as he makes eye contact with her, his brow quirking briefly, making a small gesture at her outfit with his hand. “You look good.” A compliment, least he could do, he figured. “Surprised this is your kinda thing?” He means her being here, not taking her as the type and yet, he didn’t really know her.

Avalon was glad to see someone she was comfortable with. At least more comfortable than everyone else. Someone she recognized. "Hey," she greeted back. She nodded slightly. "Yeah I suppose so. A lot of just standing around. Though I'm definitely enjoying the free food and drinks. Are you having fun?" she asked. Avalon nodded. "Yeah these things are killer. I'm missing my sneakers and overalls," she agreed.

"Hey," she smiled as she walked up to the girl. "You look beautiful, Avalon." Holding out a flute of champagne, she takes a seat next to her. "Are you having fun?" She asks, having seen her over here people watching, the mood struck to go spark up a conversation. Sure, they'd shared a few conversations over months but nothing substantial. To the naked eye, however, she thought that the girl looked slightly uncomfortable. It was Taliah's nature to try and make sure that wasn't the case, or if it was, squash the doubts. "My feet are killing, pays to look hot, right?"

Avalon turned and looked at the other when she asked. Avalon had some food on her plate, and she was so grateful for the free food. She loved free food. She shrugged. "Yeah I guess. I mean it's a really amazing event. I'm just kinda....not used to this. I've never put on a dress this nice before," she admitted. She honestly liked Joanna. Even though the other had definitely put the red head in a holding cell several times. "Are you having fun?"
Who: @sosxavalon Where: Fire and Ice Charity Ball
Picking out a selection of food from the buffet she eyes Avalon, knowing that she was very familiar with the younger woman, what with her spending a hell of a lot of time in a holding cell. "You doing okay, Red?" She asks, generally interested, knowing that actually she had a soft spot for her - the background checks that had flagged up the first time her name had been entered in the police database, were the reason for that. Joanna liked to check in, knowing that as a mother she couldn't help herself.

Avalon was definitely going to need some alcohol to get through this event. She'd never been to an event like this and she had no idea what she was doing in all honesty. She took a deep breath as she ordered a drink. The redhead blinked and turned to the woman. "Oh, yeah. That's me. Yeah ," she chuckled awkwardly, trying to get herself together. "Kinda living there now I guess. But it's nice to meet you," she replied, taking her hand. "I mean the free food and drink is great. Just not really used to being all...dolled up. I'm always messy," she replied. "What about you?"

“Shot of Jameson, please and thank you,” Rowan announced the moment she settled on the nearest open barstool. Turning to the person next to her, she instantly recognized her as one of the mechanics at Reaper Crew, but to date she didn’t think they’d ever had a real conversation. “Heya,” Rowan started, figuring now was as good a time as any, “You’re Avalon, right? Seen ya a couple times at the clubhouse but haven’t had a chance to introduce myself. Rowan,” she started, holding out a hand in greeting, “You havin’ a good night so far?”

Avalon turned when she heard Zeki's voice. She felt herself relax a little. It was always easy to be around him. "Hey. Thanks You look handsome," she told him. She chuckled. "I'm a red head, Zek," she teased. "So who did you come with?" she asked with a smile back. "I'm glad to not be alone here. I'm missing my overalls," she chuckled.

It wasn't hard for Zeki to find Avalon. Blake had wandered off to speak with someone else from the clubhouse and he wanted to make a round around the place, seeing who he would run into. He came up beside her at the bar, waiting to order his drink next. "You look beautiful Ava." He smiles at her. "You really stand out."

Avalon sighed dramatically, following him towards the kitchen. She leaned against the doorway and watched him for a moment. She wondered how she'd managed to find people to care about her. When she'd spent so long avoiding getting attached. "Yeah I know," she admitted. It was something she appreciated. She didn't have to try and figure out what he was saying. It was easier. "Fine. Stubborn butt. There's really no arguing with you when you've made up your mind," she said with a hint of teasing. "Yes. I'm starving," she told him.
Zeki walks into the kitchen, noticing the pink on her cheeks, but sometimes she needed to be reminded that she wasn't alone anymore. That there was no need to be sleeping in her car when she had a place in their family. "Don't feel bad. If I didn't want you here I would say something." He knew he could be, it was something that both him and his sister shared trait wise. "Better you just take the offer." He would wait until she was asleep and move her to his bed. "Did you want something to eat? Something to drink?"

Avalon let out a soft sigh, running a hand through her hair. Somehow mentioning it to the dad of the place let her shoulders relax just a fraction. But what was relaxation anyway? She nodded before shaking her head. "Nope. Not a clue. Pretty sure it was just a random break in cause the apartments are crappy. But I haven't really been back," she admitted with a shrug. "Mostly I sleep in my car. I've done a little bit of couch hopping," she told him.
Out of everything Avalon could have told him, hearing that her apartment had been broken into was the last thing Cole expected and it showed in the way his entire expression seemed to fracture with shock. “Jesus Christ, I’m sorry,” he muttered, head shaking as he leveled his concerned gaze with hers, “Any idea who did it?” Had it been random, or personal? Cole frowned, hating the way her peace of mind had been violated in such a sinister way. “Where ya been stayin’?”

Avalon hated to admit that there might have been some pink on her cheeks at the comment. It was just said so honestly. A family. She hadn't had one in so long. She was so used to doing things on her own that calling someone to help wasn't her first thought. A small but genuine smile graced her lips. "Thanks Zek," she said softly. "I just...feel bad for taking your space. It's just been hard to get any good sleep when I'm crashing in my car," she admitted. She gave him a look. "You're so stubborn."
He raises a brow at her. "You realise you are part of a family now, you don't have to do this on your own." Zeki could understand where she was coming from. It was harder for him to relate because he'd always been close with his family, had a good support system, even despite his fathers alcoholism. "Nah, I already pass out on it. Plus, you desire more privacy." There were nights he wasn't home. "We can argue all night, but I guarantee I will win." He had a slight chance.

Avalon chuckled. At least she didn't have to explain it to him. He of all people understood how sometimes it was better to build something than deal with something else. To build something from something broken. She supposed broken people tended to find each other. She chewed on her lip. She didn't talk about her past. Didn't talk about what made her broken. But she was falling apart. A part of her thought that maybe there were people around who might catch her. Maybe she could just start with the most recent. "Someone broke into my apartment. And I've....I've been thought a lot and somehow this...this is messing with me more than I feel like it should. I can't seem to go into the apartment. I'm a mess."
“Ten hours?” Cole parroted back, raising his brows at her. Blowing out a soft sigh, he shook his head, “I’m only slightly better so I guess I ain’t got much room to talk.” It was one thing they had in common, apart from taking pride in making old, worn out, forgotten vehicles somehow run again. It was a high unlike many others. If they could somehow make some broken thing whole again, it made Cole believe that the same could be said in their own lives too. Frowning gently at her answer, Cole shrugged his shoulders, “Ya wanna talk about it?” He offered, because even though Cole admittedly wasn’t the best talker around, he was a damn good listener. “Don’t mind lendin’ an ear, y’know.”

Avalon let out a soft sigh, dropping her bag on the couch. "Cause it's embarrassing. I mean I've survived a lot and now one break-in and I can barely even step foot in the apartment," she said with a shrug. She blinked. "What? No, Zek I can't take your bed. I'm not gonna make you sleep on your couch."
Zeki let her finish talking, taking in the fact she said her place was broken into and that didn't sit well with the Turk. "Why didn't you call me? I would have been there." He shakes his head. "Yeah, you can stay here. Why don't you take the bedroom, I'll crash on the couch." He wasn't going to let her sleep on it, she deserved more space and privacy.

Avalon blinked as the door opened before she could even knock. "Seriously? How do you do that? It's getting ridiculous," she quipped with a small smile as she stood in front of her. "You're too nice to me," she chuckled, sliding past her friend and into the house. "So you wouldn't mind if I crash here for a couple days?" she asked hopefully. A bed sounded so good after sleeping in her car. She headed towards where her favorite kid was. "Rosie bear! Come give your favorite ginger a hug, munchkin!" she exclaimed, setting her bag down and waiting for the girl to come hug her.
There was a sixth sense when it came to her own living space. One's home was their domain, their place to memorize like the back of their hand and Freya could navigate about blind in the pitch black with a baby on her hip and a basket of laundry in the other. There had been a time that she had to do that but those were the days when Rosie was little and with her little girl growing and moving about it was more about being spacially aware of where the little whippersnapper was. Freya could hear a toy drop and know exactly what floor she was on and where it happened. The perks of being a mother and a home owner. Spidersense. At least Rosie called it that. When it was the moment Avalon approached it was that same sixth sense that knocked into gear. Popping open the front door, still partially in work clothes having herself been whirling about to make sure a child was doing homework, food was being made and things were cleaned. Still there was a smile for Avalon. "You are just in time for dinner. Rosie is at the table doing her homework but come on in. My house is your house, Av"

Avalon jumped a little but relaxed when she saw it was just Cole. She let out a soft sigh before turning towards him, hoping that he didn't notice the bags under her eyes. "Yeah...sometimes. I think I've gotten like 10 hours this week," she said, trying to joke but she was sure it fell flat. She gave him a small smile. She couldn't deny that it was nice to have someone that cared enough to worry. "Been better," she admitted.
“Yo,” Cole called out upon entering the shop and spotting Avalon there, already working. By now, it hardly surprised him when she beat him to the shop and while he did appreciate her work ethic, he sometimes worried that she was working herself too hard, though he never wanted to pry even though he knew that as her boss, he probably should– just a little bit, at least. “Ya ever sleep, Av?” He wondered aloud, lifting a brow at her before raising his coffee to his lips, “I thought I was bad, but damn, girl– ya might have me beat.” It was mostly said in jest, an effort to keep the mood light. But there was a hint of seriousness to his tone that said he was actually genuinely concerned about her. “Ya doin’ a’right?”
