"Stardust" by Maimouna Youssef
At times we want to dim our light to fit in with others, we want to blend...but this song by Maimouna Youssef reminds me and the team at Soulcial Grind PR that we are made for this fantastic journey and we cant decide that we dont want to be great. We are who we are and we are made to shine.

The DC Love Festival was an all day and all night project but the Soulcial Grind PR team pushed through.
With the tools and information that we had we were able to service several media outlets and provide interviews with three of the performing artists including Chrisette Michele.

Tonesetters tapped Soulcial Grind PR to help create media interest and manage media on site for their 2nd Annual DC Love Festival featuring Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) and Chrisette Michele with host Maimouna Youssef.
Media helped to spread the word via their mediums and social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Over 30+ media outlets and participants RSVP'ed to participate in onsite interviews and coverage.
As with any other SGPR handled media event we will provid our signature interview book to Tonesetters and the management of the artists that include text articles and links to videos.

The day after Love Day Soulcial Grind PR handled media for one of our favorite artists, Bilal and his album release show for his fourth album A Love Surreal. We have worked with the artists many times before and always he is a pleasure. From requests, to onsite coordination and follow ups, we handled a range of services for the show.

On the cusp of celebrating our fourth year anniversary Gypsy Soul was asked by our good friends at Briclyn Entertainment to host an event for London based singer Daley [ www.Daley.tv] in Baltimore. We rose to the occasion with interviews and a packed house for a free performance as we teamed up with DJ Phaze & Teavolve for Freeload Friday.
The interviews and event were awesome and we are honored to have had the opportunity to introduce Baltimore to a rising and soon to be shooting star.

"Gonna Be A Beautiful Night" by Phonte
When I listen to this song the Universe and I get on one accord for a great evening. This may very well be the beginning of a much needed play list for motivation when the SGPR team sets up for an event...hummmmm

"Oh! The Places You'll Go" -Dr. Seuss
I am thankful, so very thankful for the experience & relationships that have continue to make the portrait that is my life. And so thankful that He allowed Soulcial Grind PR and Gypsy Soul to be born in me. I really think that when He conceived my life He said to the barely visible spark... "Oh! The Places You'll Go" :)

Honored to say the least, that Gentleman Jack Art Beats + Lyrics DC Edition worked with Soulcial Grind PR again to do media for the show.
With performances from Melo X, Snarky Puppy, DJ Lord, DJ Two Tone and others PLUS the great displays by local and national artists as well as FREE DRINKS...of course we would do it again [and again and again lol]
I think the pic featured sums up the experience...great people, great drinks, great art of all kinds...dont miss the next one!
Special shout to host and all around good guy Russell Hustle and creator Jabari for having us!

This song may not be a pick me up but its the song I fell in love with Jesse Boykins with.
We introduced him to Baltimore three years ago and just last week he celebrated Gypsy Soul's 3rd Anniversary with a performance.
Check it out...

Being one of the first interns for Hidden Beach Records back in the early 2000's I am of course a huge fan of Kindred The Family Soul.
They recently released their last album Love Has No Recession on Shanachie Records and during their stop in DC for two sold out shows we hosted a meet and greet and media session at Bens Next Door in DC.
They were great!

Its bigger than HIP HOP HIP HOP!!! Who doesn't love Dead Prez?
So when we got the chance to set up interviews with M1 from Dead Prez you know we didnt have to be asked twice.
With a group of media at Sonar in Baltimore before their show we sat down and had a great conversation about music, politics, and more.

I have been a fan of DWELE for years...i really dig his music. Over the last 3 years I have worked with him several times for interviews and he is one of the nicest entertainers I have come across. Hes always humble yet looks at you directly when speaking and lets you know that hes paying attention.
On tour with the Budweiser Opening Act event that stopped in DC at Love Night Club, Soulcial Grind PR was able to catch up with him and sit down for some interviews with local outlets.
Support this man, he deserves it! S/O to Tim Maynor :)

The Dew Tour came to Ocean City, MD and Soulcial Grind PR was able to set up interviews with The Cool Kids who performed at a FREE Beach Concert with Kid Cudi.
Five DMV outlets got up close & personal with the duo who just released When Fish Ride Bicycles on Mountain Dew's record label Green Label Sound via iTunes.
Great music, Great tan, Great times...

Gypsy Soul & Soulcial Grind PR accomplished a major goal we set at inception, to program and manage the Cultural Stage (B Stage) at the Baltimore African American Festival.
90 degree heat, over 20 artists in two days, 12+ hour work days…it was a dream come true!!
Interviews of the artists that performed took place in front of our back drop and hopefully will be aired sometime soon on TVONE…
So much more in store…what dreams may come…

"Tightrope" off of Archandroid by Janelle Monae
Keeping integrity in our work, maintaining high standards and holding others to grand standards as well is certainly a walk on the tightrope.
Regardless, we stay focused and make sure we provide quality and work with what we are given.
We aint complaining we just keeping our balance and getting our James Brown impersonations on :) [we still tippin on it]

Cris Cab may be young but his music and voice are so damn mature. I guess you might expect that from Pharrell's new protege. Soulcial Grind PR coordinated an open meet and greet for Cris and phone interviews. We had a good time. Hes gonna be a star...

Gypsy Soul & Soulcial Grind PR are coordinating and managing the Cultural Stage at the Baltimore African American Festival this weekend. This has been a goal for over 5 years now that is finally being realized.
This is big for us because this gives us a bigger platform to highlight great music and wonderful artists like Genesis The Grey Kid...
This is the song that made us fall head over heels for him...check it out!
